Nice one Alex, that scene navigating the snowy tree tops was quite spectacular. I'm glad you had some company for a while, its fun to share experiences. Its a shame about the colds, but it did look like you were both over the worst of it by the time came for Katie to fly home. Right ho, onwards with the trip. Take care. 👋🇬🇧🇺🇦

Sticky stuff is supercooled rain. Tiny droplets have lower than 0C temp and they freeze instantly on the contact glazing everything. Driving is pretty bad if rain is intense.

Really enjoying these adventures to see how man woman and vehicle copes in extreme temperatures, I am an old timer and recently retired and I have converted my work van a vw caddy into a micro camper, a few weeks ago when the UK temperature in the Midlands dipped down to - 5 degrees I could not open my side doors for two days so I won't be going to the arctic circle in it, 😂how about for your next adventure you go to the hottest place on earth 🌎🤔😎

One of my cousins, an ex-HGV mechanic, suggested a disposable barbecue as a way to get extra heat into the engine. It would need insulating from the ground or it might go out. I’ll have to try some experiments when it’s not raining. I wouldn’t want to push one under a van and have it set fire to the vehicle.

I carry parasitical grade ascrobic acid (food grade) and baking soda with me and take it daily. 1/2 tea vite C and 1/4 tea baking soda in an ounce or two of water, let it fizzle and dissolve then add as much water you want. This causes the C to predigest or break down and absorb quickly and more so. I buy Amazon 5 pound bag... it is sooo good for many things. Keep up the good team work, it makes life nicer ...
