Some of you guys are forgetting that Constellation, whilst undeniably cool, was horrendously underfound and rife with technological issues that resulted in delays after delays to the point that landing on the Moon by 2020 was just a fantasy by 2010, Ares V and Altair didn't pass PDR (Preliminary Design Review) prior to cancellation. I'm glad we have SLS, Starship, Vulcan, New Glenn, Neutron and a variety of other commercial and international rockets; I'd rather have one expensive rocket instead of two.

If it had been funded properly, this amazing manned Lunar program would have worked magnificently! ❤. Even if a light amount of changes would've been implemented, such as which rocket to use for launching the crew, the basic flight plan was very doable & soundly conceived. Project Constellation absolutely could've worked, & have been flown to the Moon, viably & credibly, sometime in the 2020's. If Obama & his bureaucrats had not ruined & demolished everything! That was an awful President & an infamous administration!
