After living within minutes of Lake Superior for my entire life I finally decided to explore it. My first time in the lake was in this spot. I decided then that a few pictures weren't going to be enough. I picked up better camera (I had an sjcam, and it worked good enough for its purpose). This is my second time in the water with it, and I feel the footage has earned DJI a little shout out, I blew out the red on a few clips.
Reach out if have any questions, I'm a rookie with all of this, I started making videos recently, just learned what 10-bit color is, and why you should use it......especially underwater.
Stay tuned for more, I have lots of free time to put together quality videos, I'm in the lake about 3 times a month, summer is coming, and I live in a freshwater snorkeling mecca.

finally, which settings you prefer in osmo4 for snorkeling - ultrawide FOV, manual WB...? d-log gives more DR or +/- same as standart..?

Manual WB , d-log, wide, rocksteady
With the white balance ill set it on land (against snow or a white fin if im with the right partner) then i put it one step warmer to accommodate for the immediate loss of red light at 10 feet of depth.
There’s still lots of corrections to do in post regardless, but the 10 bit color really holds together, ive been doing most of the work with just curves, then apply the lut, and turn that down some, make small adjustments to the basics and add a little sharpness since i have that turned down all the way on the camera.
I need to start checking colors on a different monitor before i render, im making mistakes that i can seen later on a tv, but now i know, I’m also very very new to anything camera, the learning cure has been steep.
