Nice thanks. This gave me a nice hint where my problem could be in my age old Nissan Sunny. It really starts to look like the problem is a huge differential backlash. You can really tell it by grabbing the wheel when it's in the air, putting on the 1st gear and then turning the wheel back and forth and it sounds somewhat like that but there's more of that kind of sounds too. So I'm suspecting that the bearing and spider gears have gone really bad there.
Sound of an enormous bill approaching...
So what needs to be replaced?
Is that at normal within spec backlash?
