- You guys remember my v3.0 tier lists? Well, after a year of thinking, and numerous updates, I wanted to give some revisions to some of the placements I had. In this Dead Cells tier list revisions video, I'm going to explain and place the items I thought are no longer correct, and hopefully based on your feedback, I'll do a mega round-up of weapons that were released in the past year to make up for all the new items I missed.

I think for the most part your changes here are pretty good, Id say a good tier list overall. The only thing I really disagree with is your movement of face flask into A, because with vengeance it gives 60% more damage which increases with brutality and it gives damage reduction, while you kept corrupted power in S which gives less (50% instead of 60%+) damage and increases the damage you take instead of decreasing it. Regardless, I think tier list content is pretty entertaining so I can see other peoples opinions on things, so Id love to see more tier lists on the channel
maybe because corrupt power does not require a mutation slot for that?
@@gabriellemos2491 Id say requiring a specific mutation doesnt make up for the difference in power between the 2. Vengeance damage stops scaling once it reaches +100%, thats double damage on top of 30% damage reduction vs corrupted powers' +50% damage and increased damaged taken. Also, cooldown reduction doesnt work with corrupted power while its damage increasing effect is active, while face flasks' cooldown can be decreased while vengeance is active, meaning you can effectively always have the damage increase of up to double damage active if you have cooldown reduction in your build. And I just want to add that im not 100% sure if vengeance can stack, but if it can it wouldnt be very hard to pop face flask, reset its cooldown with cooldown reduction, and pop it again to stack the damage increase
Yeah, face flask and vengeance is still super busted, it super easily gets affixes you need and there’s no reason why you can’t run flask, vengeance, and corrupt power at the same time. Makes grenades look like water balloons
What's crazy too is that it works regardless of scrolls, even if you're stacking other color, vengeance + flask is a ton of extra damage
@@kanegd2990 Away from the tierlist , they are both damage boosting skills . You are right in the comparison , but you can prefer corrupted power if you're running another color with mutation slots occupied . But I agree to you ig .

I'm pretty happy to see the Tombstone in A, I've been using survival weapons from the start, and the tombstone clicks with me like the broadsword, kinda slow, hits hard, and has an area of attack that makes hitting flying enemies fairly easy, and the tombstone's special effect makes me want to save killing the flying enemy for the final strike to smash everything in the area with tombstones. It is very fun and satisfying.

I've been watching your videos every time I sit down to eat. Really enjoying the videos. I picked up dead cells again after 5 years and reached 5bc for the first time. Only reached 2bc back then. Keep up the great content. ❤
Corrosive cloud isn't supposed to deal much damage, that's why it has the "damage reduction" in the top left. It's great for putting status effects on enemies, if you get the "electrocute nearby enemies for 5 seconds" and the "put oil on enemies" affixes (which in my experience feel pretty common on that item) then it will put 4 different status effects on enemies, allowing your weapons and skills with affixes that give bonus damage on those status effects to deal much more damage.
I still don't use it that much, but I honestly think that it deserves B-tier at least.

You can still dual bind, just turn on hold to attack and put weapons like throwing knife and ice shards in the first weapon slot. Hold both attack weapons and easy dual bind.
I think that with the death orb, it’s better to use it to clear corridor based biomes like the sewers, or to use it as a shield. my strategy with it is to stand inside it to bait enemies into it, roll away before I attack, and use the stun that death orb can impose if it interrupts attacks to make breathing room.

I think you should make a definite for this year. All your tire list vid are amazing, but now it been split up, say if a new DC player were to look up a video they have to open the 3.0 tier list vid then this one to see how all the weapon rank. I thibk having one would really help new and old player alike (and one again for the end of each year, if the dev still adding new weapon)

Since I am heavily biased towards survival builds, I think some of the skills could be higher especially death orb. But accuracy and biases aside, the tier list videos are entertaining anyways, so I would like to see more of these regardless. Keep up with the great content!
I disagree with that abt death orb, its so slow and lack the ability to keep the enemies in its hit box, unless youre actively leading the enemy in the hit box then its effectively just a grenade with some bonus.
Granted it does work quite well with a shield but just as i said, u need to go out of your way to make use of it and a powerful grenade still out damage it so really not worth it
@@vuanhuc3582 It works similarly like a turret where it dishes out passive damage, just that in this case it requires abit of positioning. That said, in 5bc mobs just teleport to you anyway so despite the long cooldown, you'll be able to kill like 10 mobs at once if you line them up properly. Not to mention it works exceptionally well in bosses that don't move much like the giant, mama tick, or hand of the king. So if you pick your routes properly, death orb slaps hard.
From my experience the powerful grenade is just an awfully lackluster item which is why I don't take it often. Death orb or crusher deals with swarming enemies much better, and gian'ts whistle or the cannon turret can handle single target bosses way better.

you could make an survey or debate with other dead cells players when you make the next updated tier list, it doesn't need to be just you, other like veedotme and modesto can help when judging other weapons
Hi! I'm new here cuz I recently bought Dead Cells. I'd say you don't need to worry about whether you're entirely right about the tier, as long as you explained your reasoning. It's never going to satisfy everyone since we all have our own play style/favorite. Tier lists are helpful for newcomer like me and fun to see for the experienced. So keep it up!

Surprised you didn’t change crowbar ranking. It has very good damage and it’s secondary crit condition makes it very good in certain biomes (sewers and castlevania areas come to mind). I’d put it in A potentially S.
I agree with this 100%. It’s like he doesn’t realize there’s a secondary crit condition. Crowbar has very good crit DPS and always crits against certain bosses
I always found your tier-lists pretty well-made and objective. I think you're being a little too hard on yourself for some rank switches, remember that some weapons, especially from the Queen and the Sea DLC, needed some reworks and supports from other updates to become viable. For example, at the time the Wrecking Ball was released, I completely agreed with your take, it was just way too slow and cumbersome to use. It needed a speed buff from a patch fix and the Throwable Objects from the Everyone is Here Update Vol.2 to be useful. However, I appreciate your commitment to be as unbiased as possible. I would love to see more tier-lists from you!

Grappling hook - totally agree about grappling hook. I try to get it in all my runs because it's too good at disrupting enemies, makes a lot of bosses far easier and lets you have more window opportunities to do damage without the need to react to their moves. Might be even too good so I won't be surprised if it ever gets nerfed.
Death orb - feels too slow to use but it's not bad by itself.
Vampirism - never managed to make it work to get enough value and justify the risk. Idk what weapon I used with it, probably a lighter one so I'll keep your note about heavy weapon synergy in mind.

You can still get the dual binding by just holding both attack buttons, it works exactly like dual binding, just so you know
It's not the same. Even though it's partially the same the thing with dual binding is that it was seamless and also you could actually dual wield the same weapon when it was allowed

I dont get it with face flask, paired with vengeance ot gives a flat 75% damage increase which scales whereas corrupted power give 50% only.
Plus you get the damage reduction from face flask whereas corrupted power you take 30% more damage.

I’d honestly move Leghugger down to d tier, it just feels like it does everything you would want it for inadequately and you would pretty much always want a different pet
Most weapons in the game already revolve around a specific motif, for example freeze, bleed, poison, so I think it wasn't very fair to lower the tier of some ranged weapons and Face Flask just because they requires a specific set up, especially when they can still hit like Hiroshima. Promoting items that can be put in almost every build like you did with Corrupted Power seems to make more sense.

in Genshin Impact maybe support aren't that impactful except for Abyss.
but in some gacha games (ex: HI3 or Blue Archive), support is the most effective way to powercreep some old characters, competitive reasons also force you to think again about supports.
