I can't understand what's funny about it. We are encouraged to remember death. But ofcourse there's a balance in everything as Islam is a very balanced religion. But the way he made fun out of death and the Sheikh's accent was hard to swallow. That's not from the character of a true believer I'm sorry. This is what Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) warned us about speakers with eloquent and charming speeches. People get mesmerised by this. And these speakers get a fan following because they're humorous and has a way with words. These are all traps. Beware. This clip is an example that how we should be careful where we take our deen from.

His(peace and blessings upon him) jokes were pure, harmless and scholars derived fiqh from even his jokes because they were truthful and were not jest or mocking others. A true believer, a true follower of the Prophet(peace and blessings upon him) has a dignified character. Death is a reality we all will face and hence, we need to be prepared for it. And it's no joke to be honest. The biggest reality of this life's death itself. May Allah grant us guidance, keep us on straight path and may He swt make us amongst those who present the teue picture of our beautiful deen. Aameen
Last I checked Allah repeatedly mentions having Taqwa over 100 times in Quran. Having a consciousness and awareness of allah watching, angels recording, recompense of deeds, questioning of grave, fearsome angels, Hellfire 70 times hotter than any earthly fire, crossing the siraat, weighing of deeds, full justice on qiyamah, the terrors of qiyamah, resurrection, the taking of the soul…. Etc etc… and here’s Mr Nouman belittling it and ridiculing the concept of fear and taqwa. Outrageous.
Have u watched the entire lecture? Assuming about someone on the basis of a little clip is just what nonmuslims do. They cherry pick ayats of the quran and use them against muslims. Are u as wellread as nouman ali khan? How many people have u helped learn more about islam in its truest sense? Instead of condemning others only focus on ur religion and emaan . No where in this video did he belittle anyone or any islamic value. He told a story from his life and before he could start explaining why he told the story the video cuts off..
