- Installing a drain line, put on grade with the Roddie Inc. Pit Shot® Directional Drill.
This job was to install two new 4" sewer lines on grade. The first sewer line went 80 feet to the main home basement, going under the existing garage. This video documents the second sewer line on grade. The second sewer line is 40 feet long, going to the back cottage, to be connected in the crawl space. - Věda a technologie

Back when I was your guy's age the whole damn back yard would have to been dug up be interesting to see how the next generation will do it
Great video and excellent job capturing it.
great video, thank you for the lesson
Great job and video
Well oiled machine ! Nice
;looks very efficient. Well trained personnel. Negative comments are not well thought through
love it.
Good stuff! The company I work for is doing this now for an 8” HDPE sewer line. We subcontracted the drilling/ pulling of the pipe. 300’ along side a busy highway (which is why they’re working from 9 pm to 5 am-gotta shut down a lane; I have other tasks to do during day). I’m stunned how the drill can be accurate enough for a gravity powered sewer line. A sewer line operated by the sewer company, not an individual homeowner. The grade MUST be correct. Oh, and the line is 15’ deep, at least.
great job guys love your work🖤
Nice bit of kit...
Nice!
Really interesting hole opener you pulled back through. Are the teeth carbide or perhaps PDC?
How did operator control the slop for such projects?
Y'all make this look too easy
That’s fucking sick!
Bet it saves all the mess of digging shit up.
Как всегда на высоком уровне
Nice job. How much did this pull cost?
How much hydraulic power is used in this instrument please explain me the bro what hydraulic pressure is used from the m/c🙏👌🌷
What is the pipe Called that you used? Great vid
can someone plz tell me where they sell those ?
Cut your anti seize with a small amount of diesel fuel and you’ll triple the available amount of product. We used it on Tower Crane bolts like that and it was still there and effective 3 years later after being out in Mother Nature. Anti seize is very expensive buying by the gallons.
Great idea !!!!!!
super
So the magical question is, how to replace pipe under slab foundation without trenching?
11:40 💯
No helper?
Is the water to help with cutting, or to reduce the friction of pulling the pipe through the hole, as in lubrication?
The grout slurry does multiple things. Lubricant, protects the pipe from deformation as the ground springs back post pull
So..... keeps the pipe from springing back, etc. Because it is slippery, the pressure of the ground "slides" past and/or around it? Thanks for your answer.

This would be a completely illegal install in Minnesota, the machine is impressive tho.
What’s illegal about it looks like it’s below frost line
Where is your hardhat?

Интересно почему они все работают без перчаток,ни в одном видео не видел.

You cut up half of driveway wouldn’t been cheaper just to dig a trench
wrong!!!! that is the second shot, the first was 80 feet going under that existing shed. see the new connection in the pit next to the drill.

Let see....no shoring, no ladders, no hardhats....no safety?
No, I'm a real driller - not what you're doing here with your little toy drill. Show this video to OSHA and ask them if it's 100% safe.
Awesome come back. Took a week for you to come up with that, huh? I'll bet all your customers or potential customers that see this and see what a shit contractor you are will think twice before hiring someone who is setting the customer up for a potential lawsuit - one of your guys dies working on their property and their families will sue. It's sad that I care more about your workers than you do.
You don't need to shore 5 feet of clay
Hey hardcastle relax that ditch is fine not near deep enough for osha to worry about it
