Build a quick and easy access ramp

Need a fast and easy way to build a ramp. This maybe your solution. I needed this ramp just to make my mothers life a little easier. The step is not a large one but this will help ease the pain on her joints. We are going to be using this for a wheel chair as its not technically up to code. Per our Indiana code: For every 1 inch of raise you should have 1 foot of run. This is not quite that long I ended up about 8" short. That's OK for what we are using it for.

awesome thanks this solved a problem for me,
I don't have a table saw and was thinking I'd have to make a bunch of bevel cuts with what I had in mind to build.
It gave one of those moments of relief when youve been trying to figure something out and then it all clicks when you see a solution

i deliver bulk food and there's one store that has a 8 1/2 inch step into the store i have to have someone from the warehouse to help me with all the things i bring in even with the big wheels on the hand cart still need help for someone to push up the bottom of the hand cart if i make a ramp like yours ill have no more problems

That’s another great use for it. I don’t need it for handy cap reasons. I just find it easier al around.

I sorry if your tool challenge. I what say there plenty of options to get tools. Rummage sales, second hand store. fb marketplace…. Only thing you really need is a circular saw and drill. Should even cost that much.

Rent, barrow or buy some some. I know that sounds rude but that’s kind of the deal when you want to make your own stuff. You can get started with cheap tools or second hand. Best advice I can give is buy what you need when you need it. Instead of buying a bunch of tools you do t need yet.

Thank for watching, in this case I just used outdoor carpet. This was just to aid in get into the house. If it’s for actual handicap purpose yes use some anti-slip additives to paint. You can find this sand like material at the home center.
