HOLY COW!!! I enjoyed this video so much! And those grapes and apples were amazing, along with everything else of course. There were so many things that reminded me of my grandparent's place. I was taking as tour of their farm in my mind as I was watching your video. I know from experience that the past was flooding your mind as you was doing the video. That concrete reminded me of a concrete tank that my grandparents had. It was at the base of a hill, and there was a pipe that that was driven into the hill. Water poured out of the pipe 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, because there was a spring there. Then there was a pipe that came out of that tank and went into another tank that had fine sand in the bottom of it. That is where they got their drinking water for about 40 years, until somebody decided it wasn't safe. I hope you enjoyed remembering some of your old memories and making new ones!

Thank you so much Jim, I appreciate it so much! Yes, memories, memories... And it seems like your grandparents had a pretty sophisticated water cleaning system - it is amazing how people figured it out in the past! In an upcoming video on the other channel, I have a clip of being up in the mountains filling up my water bottle from a spring. Bulgaria has so many natural springs and I think we have the largest variety of mineral water in the world. Thank you so much for watching Jim, I am so happy you enjoyed the video! Thank you again!

Every bit of that yard looks productive. Here of course we grow grass by dumping fertilizer and weed killer on our lawns, then pay someone to cut it. I think we've lost our way here in the States.
What a wonderful garden Sasha with great memories for you. Thanks for the post.

Wonderful tour, we purchased a house near the old capital 2 years ago, our garden has over thirty different varieties of fruit trees and vines. Our aim Is to be as self sufficient as possible, although seasonal vegetables are super cheap on the local market. Bulgaria is such a beautiful country, sending you much love!

Your video took me right back to playing in my Dados garden in New Zealand! He created a backyard very similar to this very nostalgic... I remember he always had a pocket knife, and he peeled the apples in one go for us like a big spiral, he grafted many different varieties onto 1 tree, he made a giant glasshouse for grapes, tomatoes, chillies etc, he brewed his own peach brandy etc, he used to play backgammon with his fellow old cronies and they’d smoke and drink whilst arguing over which squares they had been in 😂 maybe one day I should visit Bulgaria to see some more of my heritage. Because of him I’m obsessed with gardening and have planted a food forest for our family too... these memories are so deep and beautiful. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful tour. Ps... any other tips and tricks Bulgarian home gardeners use would be fascinating, unfortunately my grand dad passed when I was only a child and I have so many questions about his homeland.

What a beautiful garden! Thank you so much for taking us along on your visit back home. Just googled Bulgaria's immigration policy, thank God for their common sense, it sounds like you may have a real homeland to visit for many years to come. Sorry to get political but when I saw the beautiful garden in Bulgaria I felt compelled to find out about the situation over there.
