thanks for chipping in, from my perspective the first reason is because it’s a split between two manufacturing Mitsubishi heavy industries and United States general dynamics, we’re talking to different manufacturing‘s with a different philosophies of designs. the F-2, despite being derived from the F-16, doesn't have a similar two-piece canopy. it was designed that way because It's for birdstrike protection that piece is a lot thicker than the corresponding bit on an F-16 canopy. The F-2 needs it since it operates mainly at lower altitudes and over the ocean, where there are a lot of seabirds to run into.
@@Patriot407 Thanks for that great answer! The bird strike aspect did not occur to me. It is an awesome looking airplane though - bound to be, given its cousin is the gorgeous F-16. And I love that Japanese livery…
I like this fighter especially the blue color scheme
The Japanese livery is just sick!
These are really nice builds, I have the 8th Sqn 60th anniversary one and its a really nice-looking model. Great video 🙂👍
That one is really cool, I just love the Japan Air Force colors it is an extraordinary. Thanks for your support. 😊
Sick viper zero.
Sure is!
I wish HM would stick those F-2 engine nozzles to their F-16s (with GE engines).
important remarks. 👍🏻
Why did they decide to get rid of the bubble canopy? One of the best things about the F-16 it was derived from.
