These are the English voices used in the 4kids dub a long time ago which was infamous for its abundance of censorship. Alcohol changed to juice, blood completely removed and guns replaced with nerf like guns and even entire arcs like little garden were skipped…it’s honestly quite terrible, they only got to the very very beginning of Skypia before 4kids went bust. The current One Piece dub is being done by Funimation, the same people that do DragonBall, Zoro is Vegeta’s actor for example

The funi voices, excluding yohoho and SUUUUPER, don't really fit the characters. Also, the funi voice for Luffy is horrendous

This game is one of the best games I've ever played on PS2, I had a blast playing this game with my friends back then.
I gotta give this game props, it’s insanely realistic especially with the Mohawk fight!

I been watching one piece for 12 years with my brother (I’m currently 19 and my brother 26) and this is one of the games at I played when I was like 8 years old. It’s nice to see other people play games and see what I enjoyed while I was younger.

My Best Friend and I used to play this all the time when we were kids! To this day we still say "Serious Mode" as an inside joke, because Usopp says it when he puts on his goggle in this game hahaha
For the people who don't know, this game was made before funimation dubbed over the anime so they used the 4kids dub instead of the ones they currently use. That's why everyone sound weird and calls things by the wrong name

I need more of this lol. This game was one of my childhood games. Also the dub being used was the 4kids dub, who were known to censoring alot of the properties they got their hands on.They have long been replaced with the funimation dub.

This game was one of the things that got me into manga: A friend had this along with Dragonball Budokai 2 and 3. He recommended me to borrow the mangas at the library, and on the same shelves as Dragonball and One Piece were also Yu-Gi-Oh and DNAngel, just to name the ones that hooked me right at the start.

i had one piece grand battle, which is i guess the purely street fighter style fighting game version of this. same models and everything.
i quite enjoyed it, especially the cinematic finishers which all reference scenes from the show. like luffy's finisher being gum gum storm from alabasta.
EDIT: apparently this is actually the sequel to grand battle, neat.
The voices are based off the 4kids version that aired on Cartoon Network and is not the canon English voice it was changed so much that the show does not represent one piece

Tbh Luffy still sucks tho. Chris Sabat is a good voice actor but doesn't fit Zoro imo, I like the 4kids voice for Zoro more. Usopp also sounds better in 4kids imo fits him more too. It's really 50/50 from what I've heard of the Funimation dub tbh

I think zoros name is still zoro its just that the Is general Japanese pronunciation is zolo so the english translation of the manga Translated it a little to literally.
No lol. It's because of legal reasons, because of Zoro being a riff of... Zorro. The people who own Zorro basically sue anyone who use the name. To avoid being sued, in American translations they changed it to Zolo.

Me- well that don’t sound like the ONE PIECE dub or at the very least later on
I want to make one thing clear: this is NOT the official English Dub of One Piece, it's the trash fire 4Kids Dub, which was the version that originally aired in the West before the rights for One Piece got pulled and 4Kids eventually went out of business, though that was for other reasons. The 4Kids Dub was the single worst thing ever to happen to One Piece, and I personally think it's a large part of the reason that One Piece isn't as big in the West as it deserves to be. The Funimation Dub, while not perfect, is LEAGUES above the 4Kids Dub. And that's if we're just comparing the voice work, because the Funimation Dub ascends even higher above the 4Kids one when you take the unnecessary changes to the anime that 4Kids made. Like skipping past Laboon and Little Garden to get to new characters they can sell figures for faster.

The Moment you finish the next Arc in One Piece (The one after Enies Lobby) you'll be ready to play The Best One Piece Game in existence. One Piece Unlimited Cruise 1 for European/Asian Wii's. The second Game of that Series will be playable spoiler free after The following 2 Arcs.
There is also One Piece Unlimited Adventure which I cant vouch for because it never released outside of the USA. But technically its the first one you can checkout it will be spoiler free after you have finished the Enies Lobby Arc

Before the dub one piece was dub by a kids channel named 4 kids they were popular for dubbing sonic x Yugioh Pokémon and one piece and there were a few games that had the 4 kids dub
