True chopping tool with multiple woodsman capacity, I'm a Kukri fan and a big blade fan also and really like what I have saw and heard,so far I'm sold on that monster Kukri knife by William.
Dan Lutz = Chewbacaa grandfather. That's a good one. BTY, CZcams categorize his channel as 'comedy'. And people ask can it baton. Even Williams neck knife can baton. Just find the right size wood. I agree with you about the lanyard. Using a big knife, if you slip, it will swing back. But some people uses the lanyard to carry the kukrui on the shoulder. It suppose it take away the weight co that the user can do finer stuff, like using the tip for carving or food prep. One test that will impress me. Can it split a bullet fire from a Colt Walker.
It appears to be in the process of making of a great Khukuri blade. It’s going to take some hard abuse to destroy it. Good video Blackie. Well done William Collins.
Hello Blackie. I just ordered a WC Knives woodsman’s kukri. Looking forward to seeing more of your vids on this. I’d like it to be a combination of Williams version and yours. I like the size of your original. Maybe meet in the middle
Good video.... that thing is like a short sword.. lol It would not be my first choice for a woodscrafting in tool. Maybe if I had to head back into the jungles of Nam.. it would be good for chopping thru bamboo, arms, legs, etc. But, in the woods I am used to making feather stocks with a barlow pocket knife.... lol Big Difference. I must admit I am interested in seeing William's final design. Later.......
Make that lanyard long enough so as you can put it around your shoulder. Then you can choke up on your khukri towards the point with your hand on the same side. This will give you small knife control over a large knife.
I love Williams work, heck I have one of his knives on order, I still say that’s a little big, at least for me, I think with the steel he’s using you could loose some of the belly and some of the back, and still have a damn strong knife, but would just be slightly more nimble in the hand, prototype is what it is, will be interesting to see version 2!
Try featherstick making by using a little bit longer stick. Brace it on the ground and against your shoulder or chest. Then hold your Khukri like a draw knife and the control you will now have will make featherstick making a dream.
That kukri bit into the hickory like it was green wood. Nice. Still, your torture test is a little light for that knife. You're just too skillful to need brute force, hahaha.
Thanks for the demonstration teach. :) I "had" a lesser expensive Kukri years ago, it's preformance was poor at best, and after watching you for a couple years now and seeing the advantages I somewhat regret not actually buying a quality Kukri and giving it a fair go. The question is what is a very good quality Kukri? What should be the the general cost? There are many substandard knives out there so how can I determine the crap from quality. I'm not adverse to spending up to $200 on a tool that works and I'll have 10+ years from now. Oh and a very happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Cool👍🏻 can you baton the tip into a tree next to a river, then use it for a diving board?
