Does anybody know how to keep a quiche moist? I find that everytime I make one, it tastes too dry. Am I not using enough egg? Help me, please!

Here are some questions I may have to ask you ma'am.
-Have you left it in the oven for too long?
-How many eggs have you added to your quiche?
-And have you been adding cheese on your quiche. Using much more dairy to egg and having other ingredients makes the quiche creamy.
For comparison purposes, you're using less than a quarter cup of liquid to two eggs or 1.5 tbsp/egg.
Let's say that you're making a bite sized quiche. This recipe on Food & Wine, uses 3 eggs and 1 cup half and half. It also has a cup of cheese and lots of other ingredients. The egg is clearly just a binder to hold things together. So, that's over 5 tbsp half and half per egg.
This one recipe on allrecipes has 4 eggs and 1-1/2 cups of milk... and lots of cheese. That's 6 tbsp milk per egg. Another recipe from food.com is closer to yours in ratio, with 5 eggs and only 3/4 cup milk, that's still over a quarter cup more liquid (12 tbsp instead of 7.5 tbsp per five eggs)... and it has to add two cups of other stuff, first suggestion being cheese.
I've found other recipes that use 6 eggs to 3/4 cup of cream, too... which, again, is closer but still about 1/4 cup short.
TD;DR: I recommend adding more wet to your mixture to cut the egg.
Also, if you were baking at the traditional 350 F (175 C), you might lower your temperature a bit. Smaller things often do better with a slightly lower oven. This gives you more room for error. I bake mini-cupcakes at 325 F instead of 350 F for this very reason. So, try raising your cream to 4-5 tbsp (or maybe try a more watery dairy like half and half), add some cheese (cheese is creamy, remember?), lower the temp to 325 F (160 C) and try again.
Sorry, that's a lot of different things to try... but since I don't know your oven temperature, that part is more of a guess. Hope this helps! 😉😀

@@Astronomical_Cinematics Thanks, master chef Qwark! 😉 I'll be sure to try some of these the next time I make a quiche! Maybe I'll just make one for fun? Who knows! As always, the cooking videos on this channel are a huge source of reliable and useful info for people like me, who have been cooking since we were kids. I remember the first time I ever tried to make brownies, they came out terribly runny because I didn't leave them in long enough, haha!

My great grandfather fought in passchendaele, his journal said that his backup tank got sunk in mud, and that all the exits were blocked by the mud. They left them there. After the battle they returned to the tank, the side gave in, and the crew were suffocated and drowned in mud. When he was running through a German trench, he wrote that some of the German troops were so shell shocked that while their allies were dying around them, they were singing marching songs together, one soldier even grabbed a Canadian soldiers gun and shot himself with it. His final entry was on the last hour of the battle, the Germans flooded the area with gas. When they moved back towards a new set of enemy trenches, several German troops were dying or dead in the mud. Their gas masks were broken from either faulty filters or cracked/ripped fabric/eye covers. With horses and men all dead and rotting in the mud. He was 21, that war was horrific to any and all that went through it

Battlefield 1 was not a perfectly realistic re-creation of WWI, but it captured the feeling, and the spirit of the War to End All Wars. The brutality, the horror, the heroics, the triumph, the revolution, and the defeat. May we remember, so that we may not be doomed to repeat.

I especially love all the effort and detail to the final scenes; the references to both the film "Passchendaele" and to "Storm of Steel" has a very exquisite touch.
This might be your best presentation of the Great War yet!

In my opinion, this was better than your Battle of Wake Island video, like it or not you can't deny that V has nothing on 1, I completely forgot about you making this video until I just recently checked my notifications. The ending scenes with melee only gave me chills, obviously some Storm of Steel in there, (bayonet to the hand was a dead giveaway), I'm not complaining, but I kinda wish a decent portion of this video was from the view of the Germans, would have loved to see a bit of the Madsen MG again. When you took it even farther and popped in that recreation of that one photograph, I legit almost cried, I can't thank you enough for this, it was really enjoyable to watch. Thank you.

Actually that bayonet stabbed in the hand origianlly came from the 2008 film, Passchendaele. You can check out the final battle scene and it's literally based on this specific scene of the film. czcams.com/video/kUox_hQAih8/video.html
But yes this video is my best one out of all of the No HUD videos created, I personally love Battlefield 1 more

@@Astronomical_Cinematics Thanks for the reply and correction, once again I am sorry for leaving the crew so soon, acting has never really been my thing, even in video games. The change of quality in your videos is a lot more apparent then you may think, especially in this video right here, God, or whatever other thing you may believe in, bless the men and women who participated in The First World War, nothing could have prepared them for the true horrors that mankind has created, they would be truly disappointed in us now. War never ends, and the more technology we create, the more killing machines we also unleash on the world, (the tank is no exception). Again, thank you.

My great grandfather fought at this battle. On the 2nd day of fighting he shot his thumb and pointer finger off purposely so he could be sent home because he knew he wouldn’t survive another day in this hell. Luckily he survived his self inflicted injury and he came home took him 50 years before he told my grandfather of what he saw and what happened. Unfortunately I don’t know any of that due to the fact my grandfather died before he told my dad about what unfolded. I can’t imagine how hellish this would’ve been for such young men. Let’s hope this never repeats itself in our life times.
