- I totally forgot internet. We have 50mbps fiber internet, and we pay the same as back in Canada. However, in Canada we had 100 mbps. Our current connection is great.

Much appreciated Allison, another great informative video!
Wonderful video Allison, I have now the updated perspective of a recently relocated foreigner I can compare with my own situation about going to Nicaragua. You've treated such a personal subject in a subtle but clear way that's kind of an art :) Thanks!!!!
👏Awesome information! You are so right... It's one of those common questions and so so difficult to answer because ones situation varies from another, but great job!👍I love how you manage to deal with the give and take of it all (electricity vs feeding familia) good stuff... Anyway, my question revolves around your house. I know you talked about down sizing from 5 to 3 bedroom place, but could you give us a sense as to cost to owning a place there... specifically land cost, taxes, home insurance (earthquake, flood) if any? How does that work over there? I've also noticed that mortgages are not typical there... that being the case did you pay for your place (and addition) with cash from the sale of your previous house?... again, great job!... and thanks in advance.😀
Thanks for the kind message! Yes we paid for our house with cash from the sale of our house in Canada. There are no mortgages here, but I have seen some owner financing. I would be happy to answer the other questions via Instagram DM 😊
Do you speak fluent Spanish?
@@joancarlson5218 no. I’m intermediate at Spanish
Thanks, it helps me so much and I love your braids!!!
Thanks! 😊
Good info ! Did you bring your pets from Canada ?
And how is that done , I have German Shepard dog .
How is your health condition doing now that you have had several months to acclimate to a different diet and lifestyle in general? I started following you during your hair loss videos ;)
I'm doing really well, thanks! I'm being very careful with my diet and relying on several supplements :)
Great info, thank you. So many people say how the electricity is expensive there, but I’d like to know an actual amount if you’d be happy to share. I feel like my family would be similar in electricity usage to yours. We’re coming from NZ, where the electricity is way more expensive than what we used to pay in Australia, so it would be good to know what is ‘expensive’ there (since we aren’t familiar with Canada prices). Thanks.
Hey! Sure. Can you message me on Instagram DM? 😊
Hello @@allisonsjourney
hello beautiful girl 'I always enjoy the videos' they are very helpful I have planned to go live in Nicaragua 'but I have many doubts 'more about politics' and legal issues 'also about the health system' but with your videos they let me helped to understand the situation in nicaragua' keep it up beautiful girl ☺️🇨🇦🇳🇮
Hi Allison. I've been watching some of your videos...thanks for them. They are great! A fellow BC'er here (Kamloops) and I am hoping you can help answer a few questions for me, you seem like a pretty simliar personality to mine and i feel like you will lead me in the right direction. We are at the initial stages of looking in to a move to Nicaragua. San Jaun Del Sur is looking like our type of place. I have 2 boys aged 10 and 13. My questions are this:
#1. My youngest son is celiac. Do you happen to know what the Gluten Free scene is like down in SJDS?
#2. I am considering a trip down, perhaps solo just to get a lay of the land. Can you recommend what would be the best way for me to connect with someone who could show me around and help me learn a little bit about the area? I would be interested in looking at some real estate if I come down, but I would hate to waste a realtors time because I am just not quite at that purchasing stage. I need to make sure I like the area first 🙂
#3. I see that your girls go to the English International school. Both of my boys are dyslexic and I am wondering what your experience is with accomodations and curriculum at the international school. Would I be better homeschooling? Do you think if I came down the school would humour a visit from me?
That's it for now. I hope my questions aren't too pushy to ask here. Thanks
Hi! Thanks for the message. I’ll reply what I can here, but feel to also reach out to me on Instagram DM’s. I’m also a celiac and there are lots of options here 😊. Realtors are happy to show you properties and different areas even if you aren’t ready to buy yet. I can recommend a few good ones. I can also help you with a tour if you like. And yes absolutely the school will do a tour for you and answer all of your questions. My daughter has an IEP just like back in Canada and they have special accommodations for her 😊
