Democrat work ethics ? I abandoned the Democrats over 40 years ago when I realized that they didn't want me to be successful. They would prefer that I'm poor and in need of their help.

The democrats want you poor with your hand out on your knees in front of them. I figured that out and left in 2016. I was raised by democrats. I read about SO MANY people in and out of politics (mostly in politics) who were democrats and switched but I rarely/NEVER see anyone who was a republican and switched to democrat.

In my area I've watched lawyers line their pockets and doctors leaving the area. Sue this, Sue that. And hospitals running every test they can so they dont get sued. I make 40 an hour now but it seems like I was doing better making 17 an hour in 2013. Always had money back then and rent was only 450 a month.
20 an hour with the new inflation is below poverty level. The average cost of a house is 400K and will soon be half a million. Food for a family of 4 runs around a thousand dollars a month, then insurance, utilities, etc. and a car payment... you can't afford a house. You can afford a tent in sunny California and many are doing it.
There are guys I work with making $35 per hour and have had to start side businesses to keep ahead of the curve. What a clown show, I don't even think I'll make it to retirement tbh

When all kids were home during the pandemic a lot of parents were shocked not only at the poor level of education they were receiving but also at the high level of victomhood propaganda schools were feeding to the kids. Parents, yes to an extent for not knowing what their kids were being taught, but mostly the schools for teaching kids they're victims so they don't have to try as hard.
The end goal, as we see now, is compliance because who will they vote for? The one who says you deserve more without working for it, or the one who says we'll help you get to the point you can at minimum keep food on your table all on your own but it'll take a lot of hard work on your side to do it?
I love working 120% for 8 hours plus overtime for some DEI hire to work 4 hours and slack off to get promoted before me.

Be careful if you try to sell. I sold my home and rentals early last year but I owed nothing on them so I only considered cash buyers. I know people selling/trying to sell in CA now who are receiving offers that are demanding tens of thousands in reparations, cash incentives, seller buys down points etc that would literally result in the seller losing all profit and having to payout of pocket to sell. Two people I know have received offers that actually said the seller will be responsible for paying recurring fees up to $10,000 which was explained as the seller will put 10k into an escrow fund to pay ongoing insurance, warranty, and taxes.
A few people I know have decided in the last couple of months to removel their homes from the market or even pull as much equity as they can, use that as a down payment and to buy down points then put the first house on the market as a cash only option for a few thousand over what they owe.
A lot of people don't know, and I don't know if it's regularly told during the loan process (my son had to bring it up) but you can buy out some of your interest "points" in the loan process which will cost a few thousand more up front, but it'll save you tens of thousands over the life of the loan and lower your paymentsas opposed to just a down payment. At today's interest rates though, and with outrageous buyer demands we're seeing it's a hard call between stay put and hope for the best or risk the market crashing again. Good luck!

My handicapped son lives in a 40-50 year old mobile home in a park. Big company bought it after he moved in. His rent has gone up over $300 in about 3 years. He draws $1449/month. Out of that over $800 goes for rent and water. It varies. He gets $29 a month SNAP. If his rent keeps going up IDK what he'll do.

I do not agree with Joe Biden and his admin in any way shape or form but when I was in 8th grade my social studies teacher promised us that we would never be able to own a home. In 1980 there was an arcticle in U.S. News magazine telling how everything you could by for $1million would've cost you $448,000 in 1970. Today's dollar isn't worth even 20% of those 1980 dollars. Probably not even 10%. Why save money when it looses value faster than any interest rate you can get. Buy durable goods which will be worth more. Guns and ammo are a good investment as are a few other things that will always be in demand and increase in value. ( the way things are looking, those long lasting survival foods they sell might be worth more than gold soon. You can't eat gold.😊)

And in case you're not too bright the fuel prices are making everything go up to. 20 years ago I worked in a truck stop and they were griping about the prices because it was costing them $800 for one tank of fuel. Now it has to be well over a thousand. And they're not going to eat that cost. That gets passed along to their customers who pass it along to us. Wake up and realize what's going on people everything affects everything else.

I work in food store every 3 months we all get a bonus . First time in years in April we are not getting one. I know about 20 people who put there 2 weeks in because of this.
I live the American dream. I retired from the military. You can too!
The military is not what it used to be. My father was retired full bird col. in the air force and things have changed and who wants to serve in DEI, trans, military?
The dream is still alive and well. Young Americans have just gotten lazier and dumber. They love debt and hate saving. They want instant results or they give up. They want a democrat in office so they get government aid. We have a society of adult children unfortunately. I had good parents who taught work ethic and money management to me. I am doing great despite these tough times. Grow up and work your butt of and you can go places. FJB.
