- Today I show you how to get all the collectible's to complete the Remember The Fallen Easter Egg. Alongside this I wanted to make my edit with a lot of lore in this video!

For everyone pointing out Will Carmine's name, he was in the comics and shown very briefly. I made a video talking about him look up my "who is Will Carmine" video on my channel to find out more info.
I'd also like to add that The Coalition put out a statement before the game's official release that the Memorial Wall is made using the names of every single character to have died from the Pendulum War through the Locust War.
I'm extremely late to the party, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Exactly man. Gears of war was like the halo for me growing up. Me and my sisters now ex boyfriend used to play split screen coop through the whole campaign. And the carmine brothers were always my favorite characters

7:30 earlier in that mission Del talks about this COG soldier turned actor who was suppose to be performing at that location before it was attacked, and his name was Jace Stratton. The same Jace from Gears 3. You see him take up arms as a teen with the gears and Michael Barrick during RAAM's shadow too, so i like to think that Berrick gave Jace his lighter sometime before he died and Jace has been using it as a good luck charm, and as a way to remember him ever since the Locust War.
Wheeze, as a kid when I saw Benjamin (Benji as I call him) die, I was so pissed I chainsawed every single locust I came across 😂

It wasnt his body. Not all the collectable location are the bodies just simple placement. Explains why Alicia's photograph is way out there

@@xavierbrown7503 Almost none of the bodies were recovered nor were efforts made. In a world scale war where you're on the brink of extinction a lot of bodies will be left and forgotten. The most they could is take the tags and move on.
@@xavierbrown7503 As for the Renya thing, they probably can't. They only could do that hat trick thanks to her mental connection with the hive. They honestly probably buried renya at that hive and the swarm graverobbed the body once they left.
In the books there is mentioned the cog stops using graves, due to the idea of putting their people to rest under ground, where the locust and their horrors are.
If you's are curious how Dom's embry star got there, I'll give you all a theory. In the timeline during gears of war the book "The slab" tells us he sells his embry star to a collector in trade of food ration coupon books, since normal ephyran money is useless. He did that to try and get Marcus out of prison. How did it get in settlement 2. The asshole probably survived and then kept it as an heirloom.

The two saddest deaths to to me were dom and benjim carmin they both were good soldiers and it’s sad to see someone die so young I actually cried
And just the fact that the youngest of them all was killed in the most brutal way possible.
Anthony was just shot in the head and that was that.
Tai went through some torture, but we didn't see it, then he just offed himself.
But Ben, who's so young and kind-hearted and who'd always risk himself of danger to help others, gets F-ing mauled, half his body chewed off, dragged into acid of the immune system of a giant worm that would be effective enough to digest large boulders 🪨🪨🪨 and debris, shortly succumbing thereafter.

The voices are. The cutscenes are not.
When looking at the wall not only did I recognize some familiar names such as Anthony,Carlos, and even Gyules but I also recognized some others like Will Carmine(another dead Carmine to add to the book) and another named Richie Wallin. As you may know Wallin is Dizzy's last name. Im happy they added these small details.
Will Carmine is the uncle of the 3 carmines we already know, he was the first human killed by raam

We had no collectable of Sofia. We never had confirmation if she was killed after GOW: Judgement, only that she was taken. I guess this is slight confirmation that she's still alive?
Not exactly as Anya isn't here. This doesn't cover every major death in the series. She might be dead It's still in mystery.
@@Sontaburetski Well I think this memorial is dedicated to those who perished during the Locust war. Adam Fenix is the last name listed on the wall meaning that he was the last man to die with the war against the Locust. Anya was still alive and well but supposedly died a long time after those events. She might be alive as we never saw it take place but we had strong indications that she passed away from a miscarriage in Jinn's Fertility program as we saw Marcus discussing with her. Only time will tell I guess.

The thing I always wonder about Tai is what exactly did the Locust do to him? Tai had seen some serious shit by Gears 2, so what could the Locust have done in a few hours to thoroughly break him so bad?
Melvin Shine if you read the book its shows that they beat him and torture him while he was chained and the other people captured were hanged or beat to death so the locust just tortured them but he probably couldn’t handle it no more but idk
It's shown in the Comic Issue by the name of "The Quickening." In essence, his soul had left his body early, and his body's time was thus no longer sacred or needed. They hung him from meathooks using chains attached to his actual skin and whipped him with serrated chain whips, to keep it brief.
The Quickening = The Locust sped up the soul leaving the body.

Such a great Easter egg. I still pull out Dom's saga when people try that old 'video games aren't art/don't have good stories' line. One of the most emotional journeys in gaming, hands down, and the scene with Maria usually breaks people to the point of rage at the Locust, even with non-players. His sacrifice is, and will always be, enough to make a grown man shed a tear.

If your curious about how Barrick died. He was with Marcus and Dom and sacrificed himself to give Dom and Marcus time to escape. He took of all of his armor off and fought a locust with his bare hands until he was shot by a beast rider and died. This was what he wanted (to go down fighting) as he was dieting of rustlung at the time. This was during a comic

Ali Oush I don’t understand why he was the only one that got sniped. There’s so many cutscenes where other characters (such as Marcus and Dom) are just standing out in the open. Take that cutscene for example when Kim died.

As fun as the multiplayer is in the gears series I wish the campaigns were longer. The team at gears makes great stories and writing as well as character development.
