This may sound bad but I'm glad we got tested so the team knows to not rest on their laurels. We had a good run for a short while and admittedly, the internationals must've disrupted our momentum plus led to fatigue. We may also have under estimated Newcastle based on their injuries. And let's not forget that this Newcastle team has also been bringing their A-game this season, they are a formidable squad. There's a lot to learn from this and it's good for us that we learn it this early (this early in the development of the squad, not necessarily the season).
There previous performance should of thought them alot... a 4-1 defeat is despicable

He should be running around midfield, winning the ball and then passing it to guys that can actually score. Guy can't shoot to save his life but he has to energy to be a useful part of midfield, if utilized properly.

I can't even say anything anymore about us again.
We are doomed for 3 to 4 years to cum if this is how the hierarchy is gonna build this young and inexperienced and indiscipline team.
It's quite torturous to see my Chelsea keep being inconsistent now a days especially against teams we once overshadowed them in terms of set and gameplay in years ago, but now we can't even be consistent in 5 games on a roll. How the mighty has fallen.

I hope Poch pushes for a deadly and consistent striker in front of goal come January.
Poch must recognise that age is already catching up with Thiago and as such, must not be made to play full 90 minutes all the time.
Equally, the partnership of Silva and Badiashile looks disastarous at the back, i think a partnership of Silva/Disasi or Disasi/Badiashile is better, never play badia and silva together again. Silva looked so exposed today.
Also, for a game that is thus physical and requires height, Cucurrela might not have to start if Colwill is available.
We also missed Caicedo in this game, hopefully when Nkunku and lavia are back from injury, we can have better games

I like Badiashile but he and Cuc had a rough time dealing with crosses and set pieces. Badiashile allowed a couple of free headers in if you ask me based on the zone/man marking duties and who scored

Goal One you can see Ugo and Badiashile confusing each other. Ugo should’ve been in line with Enzo marking Miley. Cucurella not man marking Trippier makes things worse, they both think he’s still marking Isak.
Goal 2 Ugo is marking Gordon instead of Reece, which allows Gordon to play in that cross. What I’m trying to say is that even if Caicedo gets 2 hours of sleep and played 3 games in 7 days, he should start. There’s no excuse for him not making the XI
Simple rules if you play against high pressing and motivated team :
- don't start too many "calm" player in starting XI (Silva, Badhiashile, Ugochukwu)
Caicedo is not the solution it's the same with him.
This kind of performance does not deserve a extended highlight.
We were wasteful,when we needed to hurt them .
