Nepal to host the Women's SAFF Championship 2024 | Group Division & Match Schedules

The much-anticipated SAFF women's football championship, which is scheduled to be held in Bangladesh from October, will now be held in Nepal. The meeting of South Asian Football Tournament Planning Committee held on Monday decided to hold the biggest tournament of South Asian Women's Football at Dasharath Stadium. Along with this, the tournament which was supposed to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh will now be moved from there and played in Nepal.
The sixth edition of the competition was also held in Nepal in 2022. The title of the tournament was won by Bangladesh. Bangladesh won the title for the first time after defeating the home team Nepal 3-1 in the final. Before that, all the 5 Sankaran titles were dominated by India. 5-time winners of the 2022 Women's SAFF, India's Dada Giri were defeated by Bangladesh in the group stage and Nepal in the semi-finals.
