I settled for a C220d in white. It's doing fine. I miss the Burmester 3D, but the performance is good enough for me-not as bad as I expected.

I literally had to fight with Benz to get this one. My case actually was reported to Benz India coz some goof-ups happened in my case.
I was initially looking for C220d only but then the added advantages were justifying the 5 lac extra so i went with this

@@firoshaq1811 Well ground clearance is definitely less, esp with more ppl on board. But if you are careful enough, it's not a major issue

Owner is very knowledgeable about cars , really surprised how passionate he has been about his vehicle.

I’d also taken a test drive of this model and was impressed overall by the quality & details .
Interiors were epic and give a royal feel.
Power is massive with some level of lag .
Could have improved on the exhaust note while providing keyless entry & 360 cameras.

33:16 I use only wireless Android Auto and wireless charging on my C220d. Although it's slow charging, it does the job perfectly. I did a 1400 km drive last month. I never had an issue with wireless charging or wireless Android Auto. By the way, I use an S23 Ultra.
I use wireless android auto as well but there are times when it just doesn't connect (very irritating at times!!)
At times I had to use the Merceds maps only. Wired one is better as battery of phone doesn't drain and it is stable. Sometimes the wireless connection goes even while driving the car when phone gets too hot.
Planning to bring this issue up during service.
@@drkartiksurgeon yes wireless android auto disconnect rarely. Happened some 2 or 3 times till date. I think merc work on apple car play only, as most of the merc owners use iphones only.

26:19 As per my Mercedes dealer, the rear dashcam is illegal in India. So, Mercedes stopped installing it in India. It's still available for purchase if you insist. I, too, fitted only the front cam in my C220d. I bought it for 70k.😢
I dont know how much that info is correct buddy coz all dashcam companies have front and back dashcam. I have 70MAI front and back installed in my Honda City. Sometimes these company people give lame excuses if they don't have something in stalk!!
I got the dashcam for free 😅
@@drkartiksurgeon yes, I'm also not sure about the authenticity, but rear cam was available in coastal star Trivandrum, i wanted that also, but they didn't fit it telling about this legal issue. Someone filed a case it seems regarding privacy issues. But BMW still installs rear cam.

38:18 The 2024 model C200 and C220d have a 360-degree camera and heated and ventilated seats. However, as of today's date, they have yet to hit the showrooms. There are also long waiting periods.
Yeah... these models were formally announced after we shot this video. I knew they would bring all these features in the next upgrade 😄
I am pretty happy at the price I got this car for and don't miss those features much.
@@drkartiksurgeon yes, doesn't justify the price hike. I asked my dealer if it's possible to add 360 cam in my c220d. He told he'll update me once the new model hit the showroom.

1. 360-degree camera
2. Ventilated and heated seats
3. Two Type-C ports in the rear
4. New blue color option (I personally didn't like it)
5. Scuff plates are now regular compared to the previous illuminated ones
6. Minor changes to the buttons on the right-hand side of the steering wheel
7. AC vents got a subtle change.
The 360-degree camera and ventilated seats are the major changes!
I think even keyless entry is there as some package

@@drkartiksurgeon As per my dealer, I was the first person to get the update in the whole of INDIA! None of the technicians were sure about the outcome. Hence, they held the vehicle for one day and tested it thoroughly before delivery.
C300d was one on my list but went ahead with M340i…I have got 15kpl maximum on expressway…!!!
I will prefer 300d over 40i any day added milage a same performance
@@ujjvallal9909not same perf,3l i6 is on 40i and also 387 bhp on 40i which is 120hp more than c300d ,yeah there is consistent mileage advantage on this.

M340i is a fantastic car!!
I actually saw it and was quite impressed. The car was quite expensive though and too powerful for Kerala roads!!
With so much power, mileage would definitely take a hit, that too petrol, so I stayed away...

Why compare so much for mileage for a 70L vehicle 😉Between 10km and 20km mileage difference is only 5L for 1L km ride
Well, it's all about the perspective!!
Car which gives mileage of 10 will probably be a petrol so if you drive 1 lac kms in 5 years, you would end up spending about 6 lacs more, that is 10 thousand more per month.
Put that 10k every month in an SIP, an index fund will do and a nominal rate of 10-12% can make you a corpus which you can definitely feel happy about 😅
14:32 c300d is not having dual clutch transmission. It's conventional torque converter transmission

C300d is 9G triptronic, which is torque converter only.
A class is DCT, and AMG models too

Ground clearance , big problem with these cars not fit for Indian roads
That would we an overstatement I guess. I have been using this car for more than 6 months now. Definitely, the clearance is low and u need to be careful, but I have not faced any major issues on rough road, or bumps.
Sedans have a lot of advantages:
- Better handling
- Better ride quality
- Minimal body roll
- Gorgeous looks and feel
With new highways and better roads coming up, sedans will provide a much better driving thrill!! 😊
