When his friend, who puts on a mask of "Revan" when it is the only way to bring justice, Alek worn the mask of "Malak", too. However, the mask replaced the face, and people no longer remember Alek, including himself. The savior became conqueror and death became his only redemption. Revan is a legend, Ulic was a tale, Zayne lives in memory. This is the Knight of the Old Republic. This is Alek.

Yeah seriously. I ended up just running around throwing my lightsaber at everything. For some reason I would miss every time I tried master flurry, I think I spent my stats wrong.
Love this as it really pushed my skills to the limits and beyond. Just ended up running away and throwing my lightsaber. Also the first time I really utilised mines..
it's really tragic that Malek died as he was following what his fellow friend was doing and sorta was quite loyal until he became sith, if anyone is to blame - it's Revan, as he has no repercussions following his actions and ruined a Jedi life
Not an Revan Fanboy Moment, but they BOTH sacrificed themselves and went to War against the Mandalorians. The Jedi were Peaceful and didn't helped the Republic if Revan and Malak never went to War than the Republic would fall faster. Malak betrayed his Master and the Jedi Brainwashed Revans Head. Yes it was Revans Fault because he was the one who turned Malak to the Dark Side. Revan stayed Loyal to the Sith but it was the Jedis Fault for Brainwashing his Head.
End of the day, Malak chose his path, Revan led him down a path that could lead to the dark side and Malak chose to walk it, he was never forced. All of the atrocities that Alek committed during his time as Darth Malak were things he did of his own free will, it is a tragic ending in the sense that he was once a Jedi and could have led a drastically different life had he not decided to follow Revan down the path of darkness.
Malak: It's over, Revan! I have the high ground! Revan: You underestimate my power! Malak: Don't try it. (Revan jumps over him and stabs him) Im... Impossible! I... I cannot be beaten! I am the Dark Lord of the Sith!
This will always be Canon, no matter how much Disney tries to butcher it. They've done some things even worse to fairy tales, such as made them into musicals. They should give up, and allow smart folks to make movies. Then, there would be no talking animals, and no the Last Jedi.

All that time I spent leveling all my skills and doing side missions to build XP and better weapons just to run away and shoot lightning for 15 minutes 😂
I always kinda cheesed this fight. Before I setup as many high level plasma and frag mines as I could right near the entrance then ran and destroyed/drained the tanks then lured him to step on the mines and it killed him. You can buy mines from several different vendors (big one is the Korriban vendors special stock) so you don't even need to commit to disarming mines on your build

It would go against Malak's character; Malak was always under the shadow of the player character, which is way he took the opportunity to kill and betray you.

I was poor in my playthru of this game couldn't afford the best armor mainly didn't want to as it restricted my force abilities and just Auto upgraded my character bc I didn't know the first thing about a warrior build and I got my ass kicked badly I gotta say
