I got attacked by several beavers on different occasions I’m not far from you at all come to find out beavers are incredibly aggressive when they have babies around they’ve came up to us slapping the jon boat acting a fool it’s pretty common I’d take them out so the fishing can take off
And also I live on 2 creeks floated down them on floats my whole life and yes every time we saw a snake in the water it came for our floats everytime I honestly think it was curiosity or trying to get out the water rather than attacking but we didn’t stick around to find out lol but never fails they coming to the float or kayak everytime
Water moccasins do not chase you, also their body being out the water has nothing to do with them being venomous or not! I have a pond in front of my yard here in Texas and have shot plenty of snakes venomous and non-venomous!

I have been run off by many moccasins. There was one at herb parsons' lake Robinsonville Tennessee that literally after a certain time of day it knew to follow the boats to shore. it would literally almost try to get in the boat with you all the way back to the bank. It dawned on me that people leaving dump their minnows, and toss fish out of their wells, and baskets when they don't feel like cleaning them. he learned to associate people with food. Another time I was fishing a spillway at night been sitting on the ground about 2 hours another fisherman came down I ran over to talk to him when I came back a big moccasin was sitting in my spot. he saw a warmer place that's where he went. I have had them follow me in daytime but he's right the lights and the warmth of your body makes you attractive to them.

I have had a Moccasin come at me before. I was inspecting my train at night when I walked up on it. It had a huge frog half way in its mouth and I started chunkin rocks. It proceeded to spit the frog out and came at me. No more frogs were ever harmed by that snake again 😉.

Have Beaver in the river that borders my backyard, my activities near the river at night have annoyed them plenty of times to the point they tail slap. I cannot recall them not slapping. So, just the whooshing sound is intriguing.
I've had a bowfin attack our canoe before, and they can get north of 30" around here. But, that sounded a bit bigger than 30"
It's Def a pigeon hun. They come in many many different color morphs aside the reg grey black banded that first comes to mind.
They are actually very friendly and free of most bird diseases.
They just breed year round and poo a lot.
Of you want a bird that will love you FOREVER. You get yourself a hatchling pigeon. They'll NEVER leave you.
Animal rehab would be so cool and add that extra touch to the channel seeing there progress. Just check on licensing on some animals but you got darrell. 😂

I had moccasin Come at me on a little John boat one time. He was swimming at us and splashing water at him didn’t stop him. The 22 cal stopped him just fine though 😂
They don't chase you. They just don't divert course unless agitated.
My dad used to fish in a little 14 foot John boat and he told me he was up in a creek one day and a moccasin chased him until it it got to the boat and then tried to get in with him lol. Pretty sure he had to dispatch him😂😂

I believe that bird is a Red Flight. If the eyes have a white ring around them then that's definitely what it is.
It's a breed of carrier pigeon that's quite common in the world of pigeon coops. I'd wager it was competing in a race and was either shot or ran into a fence, or a hawk tried to get it and either pierced it's wing with either its talon or beak, or it simply rammed into it and fractured a bone in its wing.
I had the largest coop in all of NYC in the 80's with over 350 birds. LOL

Make sure you check with your local laws before you keep any injured animals. Some have to be handled by licensed rehab centers. You don’t want a game warden showing up!
If your ever in Texas around the Galveston, matagorda, or Surfside area I know a few good spots that you can bank fish and kayak fish and boat fish if your ever down here

Water moccasins are VERY territorial. I have had one or more chase us many times while fishing even trying to get in the boat. One time we cranked up and went to the other side of a big cove and a little while later i looked behind me and that MFR was still coming for us!
I had a water moccasin to chase me while I was bass fishing twice, but my faithful 40 had my back 😎
@lojo bro loved this video. The day time vs night time fishing with different baits great idea. Would love to see more of this. Also wondering if Daryll would want to clear out some of his new swamp, if so it would make a great mini series. Would love to see u guys do like a weekend catch clean cook at ur little cabin. Also u have to get to the bottom of the sounds in the swamp....the lockness monster might very well be back there lol. U could also do some snake removal at night and start shooting those buggers. Have a few snake meals and pay back. U could try setting some beaver traps and reach out to flair or hell, ask flair to fly in for a collaboration. Even via phone or video and catch clean cook a beaver. Just a few ideas my guy. Love the content, keep at it but yes find out whats back there, it could be fish, beavers, gator, turtles who knows maybe nessy herself. Good luck be safe.
ive sat and read scripture at a beaver pond form what looks like 5 times the size of that one and beavers tails hitting the water is a LOUD slap noise not saying it couldnt of been a beaver but from my experience you can definitely tell the difference between a slap im honestly wondering if it was a small gator maybe chasing the light? not sure though

If you do decide to rehab animals, make sure they do not become "imprinted" and rely solely on your help. My wife volunteers at a Raptor Rescue, and some birds come in after being "rehabbed" by the general public. Those "imprinted" raptors typically do not survive in the wild because they became too reliant on their "rehabbers". They can't hunt, or lost some of their natural instincts, so they become permanent residents and used for education.

Yeah I've been chased by a water moccasin in my own yard a few times. For the most part they won't bother you but there are occasion we're they want to investigate and I don't know if it's just them being curious or if our body heat makes them think it potentially a meal
