I was just going to tell it to you. In WWII, Tiger 2 used the stock gun in game, the 8.8 mm L/71 gun. The frontal armor of the Tiger 2 never got pen by any gun in the war

I also like absorbing damage, while my team sits around and does nothing about it.
Except for the fact the I can circle a vk 100 in a tiger 1 the vk 100 turret turn rate is slow. Even a light tank with out good pen can do that. So as long as a light doesn’t rush you.

@@daxie__3210 I mean whenever I play the vk I find a corner and back up far enough so I can sidescrap both sides at once, therefore allowing me to control a whole flank by myself which allows my team to capture the other flank. When I'm against tier 7s though i just rush alleys and the middle of the map to troll bc they can't pen. Just wiggle and wave your gun and you become unstoppable. But yeah I agree with you when you play the vk always have some sort of hard cover to back into. Same with tds like the foch. I can't tell you how many times a light thought they were gonna trash on me until I pinched them into the hard cover and trapped them.

i actually can deal with liighties bc just 1 accurate he and they try to flee. then you easily finish them without any effort. same for the other types. just waqch that cupola and the lower glassis and everything's good

Fun fact: The tiger 2 was never knocked out by another tank in the war. Most just got taken out by airplanes or popped their transmission
actually its never got penetrated in its front amour not never knocked out by tanks.
Actually there was a very RARE WW2 photo of a Tiger ll being taken out in the front armor. It was shot on the machine gun side on the frontal armor. Now I don’t know if it was a tank or something but it took it out.

There was a superpershing that took out a tiger 2 which a regular Pershing couldn’t do.

You can prammo the upper plate but since it's Armour Piercing Composite Rigid normalization angles are dogshit (2°) so penetrating the upper plate is difficult.
Or you can drive su101 heat with calibrated

I love how you give a bit of a fun fact or history, makes it more interesting to know more about the tank not only statistically, but also historically.
There was a prototype of the Tiger 2 carrying the 10.5 cm, but the Tiger 2 mainly used the Long 8.8, the stock gun

Ayy, i can tell like IS-3 side armor in wotb is 80 mm thick when in reality it was 90 mm thick, same as the IS and IS-2 cuz they were based on IS chassy.
Also another one for the IS-3, it's frontal protection is impenetrable for WW2 tanks.
Also T29 turrets frontal protection in game is impenetrable while it certanlly wasnt bad tanks like IS-2 and Tiger II could pentrate its frontal protection.
Also Tiger II hull armor is impenetrable for armor piercing rounds(only M103 could do it with a solid shot along sith some french 120s)
Also ISU-152 never had the BL-10, and HE pentration of ISU and SU is 49 mm.
Theese are just some, but i know that without theese historically inacurate additions to tanks game wouldnt be as fun.
The vk tank names are a project name and the number does designate the target weight. The problem is that as the war went on the high command would continually increase the armor requirements and the weight would increase considerably. Earlier designs were more strictly limited by weight because it often was the maximum to cross bridges or be transported by rail or boat crane.

The tiger 2 didn’t carry the 10.5 cm gun, it carried the 88 mm or 8.8 cm gun. The tiger 2 105 mm was a prototype/design not acted on because of scarce resources.

Yep, the VK.100.01P was one of the designs before the Maus was designed, only remained on blueprints.
For the tiger, you just need to mind your sides, most players get caught out of position while moving and exposing their sides, in which they get punished
When i play my vk 100 p I never hesitate pushing aggressive . But in the tiger 2 i have always think about angles .
Vk100 sucks now, wg weaked the front ammor, 2 spot u can get, front hull, front hatch, plus most people knows it, is not worth it anymore, l say is worse than 8.8 jagtiger,
yang xinye both of those spots were already there as far as I remember (if you are referring to the lower plate). I am probably gonna try and get it back. It is a beast at side scraping. And if you just get in the face of a tank you can use the giant barrel to mess up their shot on the hatch. Only tank I ever feared while playing that were T34s
Yup, first game back in it, 2.5k damage 2 kills. Team lost with us only getting 3 kills. Was in dead rail, so not much side scraping to be done. Still pretty good in my opinion.

The most feared tank wasnt the Tiger 2. It was the Jagdtiger. The Jagdtiger was so strong that the alies needed to call air support because it had such a strong armour which no tank could pen.

Agreed. If you like impenetrable front armor and decent mobility, the tiger 2 is for you. If you like being large, easy to hit, and generally enjoy losing, then the vk100 is your pick.
DefaultZ That is completely reverse VK 100 is a monster if you know how to play it, i even used to win 1 vs 3 with it because side scraping will make Vk100 impenetrable.

The most feared tank of WWII was the Tiger I. The reason for that was that far less Tiger II's were produced meaning that you rarely ran into a Tiger II in battle. It only entered service in mid to late 1944. Meanwhile the Tiger I entered service in early 1942. The Tiger I was a formidable vehicle and was impenetrable to most allied tanks for years. Until us Brits decided to put the 17 pounder gun on a Sherman in 1944. Which was called the Sherman fire fly. The Tiger I had a nasty 88mm gun that was very accurate and deadly. Often destroying Sherman's or Cromwell's with one shot. Meanwhile it took two to three shots in the rear of the Tiger to destroy it. The destruction ratio of a Tiger to Sherman's was huge. Four Sherman's would be destroyed to a destroyed Tiger. The tiger was produced in far larger numbers to the Tiger II. It would actually still be quite rare to encounter a Tiger but the chances were far greater of encountering a Tiger I than a Tiger II. You would actually encounter Panzer IV's and Stug III's regularly. For all of these reasons, the Tiger I is considered as the most feared vehicle of WWII.

Lower: 100mm Upper: 150mm
Turret: 180mm
Jagdtiger had the same hull but it had no turret (surprise surprise) but a casemate 250mm thick.
The Turret was actually 185mm
But in the game its 220 in the turret an 150 on lower and upper plate
The germans do love to make some crazy stuff especially the e100 the chassis was only partially built when the allies found it I would love to see what it would actually look like fully built tho

VK 100P is one of my favorite tanks in the game. Just wish they never nerfed it way back when, it didn't deserve the nerf it got, but it's still amazing.

Jason Forester even if it’s slow, playing heavy side it would dominate too much. Circling tanks usually only happens late game or in a 1v1.

Dear Droodles, I like your videos and content a lot. You make sensible game commentary and are a joy to watch play.
However, if you insist on bringing historical references, please get your facts right before doing so. The tiger 2 never mounted a 105mm gun because it was impossible to fit in the presented turret. There were some napkin drawings of it and that is what WG used, they are however in no shape of form grounded in reality. In reality, it mounted the kwk44 "long" 88 and could penetrate north of 220mm of armor. Same gun went into the nashorn, jagdpanther and Ferdinand, as well as some jagdtigers.

Droodels the VK100.01 (P) was named that because if was the fist version of the maus with a 105mm main gun with a 128mm and redesigned later on witch became the maus

The first 50 or so Tiger IIs produced used the first pre-production turret, inaccurately called the Porsche turret.
The main production run gave the tank a second turret eliminating the shot trap, inaccurately called the Henschel turret.
Both turrets were produced by Krupp, not Porsche or Henschel.
The name “King Tiger” is also fake.
The German name Königstiger translates to Bengal Tiger or Royal Tiger.
King Tiger is a literal translation from separating König and Tiger, which is incorrect.
And both Tiger II variants were named Königstiger, not just the upgraded ones.

Sort of wish the the tiger 2 had a tad bit more alpha. As low as 220 damage (i think) is really not cut out for a tier 8 heavy, paired with a 9 second reload.

Tiger II is my favorite Tank in the game it brings up my Wr spots and it's just solid. The turret armour is weak when it's Angled when your enemy is above you. I have 1k battles and 80% of times people people penetrated me was from the side or by pramo which is also avoidable (against any tier 8 non TD to wiggle as you go towards them. For what this tank can do opponents are most times too dumb biggest enemy IS152 and ISU-152 lowest chances of bouncing .

Tanks with dogshit pen like the t32 can go through the lower plate of the vk with normal ammo with ease. The t32 can't pen the tiger ii frontally unless they use apcr or shoot the cupola which is very hard to hit so I like the tiger ii more

If ur using. Vk I suggest you hide ur lower plate and then keep dancing to avoid cupola shots. I love vk so much. It's impenetrable once I get the angles correct. It takes time to get the hang of the vk. Now it's my fav tanks

Bruh you have to remember the bl10 has better standard pen than some tier 10 premium pen. I run calibrated and it's like 310-320 standard. Without calibrated its 300.
