Keyway in concrete footing

We needed to hold our canes vertical , so why not make a key way too. Strapping was an economical choice, and serves its purpose well.
If you didn’t already know what a keyway was , it’s a recess or trough in the footing. When the wall is poured keyway flows into the keyway and essentially locks the wall to the footing. It prevents the wall from moving laterally on the footing.

That’s some beautiful shit. Not everyone takes the time for this type of detail.
I always try to go above and beyond in my thinking, and this is great to see in other trades.
We all have a hand in the building, and if we all took the time and care homes would be much better than they are.
