well yeah, back then they took the chance to show the world who's best, now they take the all-star weekend to rest and be in a better condition for the season. different reasons, its not better or worse imo. of course, watching the best players go all out on each other for a game was nice, but have them rest and be in top condition for the up coming games is good too

In the older games if a team wins they get to donate to a charity of their choice,but in 2020 this was removed.
Back then the all star games were much more competitive because NBA players had a reason to play the game, i think it is because they can donate to the charity of their choice or something like that, and now NBA doesn’t let players do that so that is why all star games are not as cool and competitive as they used to 😢
