- Welcome to our new series, Builders Brew, where we meet string instrument builders and repairers who choose Rotosound strings. Each episode takes a behind-the-scenes look at the workshops and working practices of luthiers; we explore why they do what they do; and we find out why Rotosound strings are the choice of expert instrument makers.
In this first episode, we meet South East London-based luthier, John Procter, who builds and repairs guitars and classical instruments in his Aladdin's cave of a workshop.

Spent many an evening in a sweaty rehearsal space with John. Not just a fantastic luthier, but an incredible songwriter, too.
John is a great guy and great Luthier. Sorts my basses out for me.
This is a hell of an endorsement.
Its going to be really nice to see this series of different luthiers & their expertise on offer. Great idea to showcase this.
Thanks Jack! We supply to so many builders across the UK that we thought this would make great content. More coming soon...
@@rotosound_uk Excellent, looking most forward to it.
Ace!
What an interesting series this will be. Its not often you get to see fellow peers engaged in a similar profession showcased. I don't consider myself to be a luthier/guitar maker, but as a guitar and amplifier repair technician. I use Rotosound strings exclusively on all my guitar repairs. The strings are excellent and Rotosound are a pleasure to deal with.
Cheers for the comment, Steve! We love your profile photo too 😊
