Enjoy watching you do your automotive stuff I do the same as you it's a lot of fun and a helpful suggestion get a fuel primer bulb to put in line to help prime fuel lines pump and carb to help out on firing up your vehicles I do its very helpful keep up the great wound content your putting out fun times

I put a amc 360 and then a 401 in my 78 cj5. Wasn't much back then that could out run or out pull it. Was super fun. I street raced it , mud bogged it, and pulled it once in the 4500 pound class, took first place .

The AMC 304 has a big oil filler tube sticking up on the very front by thermostat housing. If it doesn't have this, it's an international.motor..they are not the same engine.

He wants to build one good one I think he can with the parts he has minus a few body panels. Thank you for your comment.

Does this engine have a prestolite ignition system?

I would have to go look at it again to answer honestly I'm not sure. Thank you for your comment.

I honestly couldn't tell you if I had to guess I would say no. Thank you for your comment.

No. AMC 304 was it's own engine. It used Ford carb and alternator. International 304 was a different motor

You may have a engine to salvage. But that bucket of rust is not worth the trouble.
