    Hello,
    I recently received my Wolf induction cooktop. I can’t say enough good things about it.
    So, I used to have the Wolf electric cooktop and I was shopping around for an induction. We’ve had our electric for many years but wanted an induction now. I wanted to shop around for something different because I wanted one with a large burner being in the center. We looked for a few weeks and was interested in the Monogram and THERMADOR as they both had a large burner in center. But I just felt that the Wolf seemed more dense to me. I don’t know what it was but seemed more durable and I was afraid to go with the others. My brother has a Thermador and got a crack down middle of it due to dropping a salt shaker on it by accident. So while I had my old Wolf electric I tested this with a thick glass salt shaker. Dropped it a few times and it did leave a little knick but not crack. I felt was best to go with a Wolf and am so glad I did.
    It’s absolutely stunning and I did want the larger burner in the center but this has an 8 inch burner in center that I can use my 9 or 10 inch on and works well. The salesman said as long as pan isn’t too large then it will work. So I am pleased.
    It cooks evenly. I LOVE how easy it to use. This is more easier to use than some of the other ones I’ve looked at. The display is very easy. You just pick the burner you want then the heat level. I was amazed at how fast the water boiled. And how clean the cooktop stays while cooking on it. I am so pleased with this and anyone that is on the fence or maybe considering this definitely go for it. It’s definitely the best quality one I’ve seen and I went to a few places and seen them all. You won’t be disappointed with this. It’s also very modern looking and pleasing to the eye. I also called Wolf customer service asking questions about switching to an induction to see if it was the right fit for my parents which are in their seventies and they were always easy to get a hold of and very responsive which is important. My parents who have a hard time working their cell phones 🤦🏻‍♀️ find this easy as well. If anyone has any questions I’d be glad to help or answer. I’m totally in love ❤with it.
    Also, we got the silicone pads you recommended and love them.

    Thank you. Very helpful. I'm debating between the Wolf and the Thermador, and I appreciate seeing the cooktop in action, as well as the links to your accessories.

      I got one and nothing works they way all these videos explain, big pot does not work, all burners including big one is good for small pot only, bridging between the two burners does not work, very disappointing, hopefully the technicians are trained enough to deal with hi tech appliances

    We are strongly considering getting the new Wolf 36inch induction range. However, it pushes back all the way to the wall so that the back edge of the cooktop glass almost touches the wall. Usually there is a traditional vent riser at the back. Because of the lack of riser, should we expect to clean the back wall more often? Also, with a possible narrow 36 inch gap between the wall and the range, could you recommend something to fill the gap? Spills and accidents do happen. The trim piece link shows only up to 25 inches long.

      We have a tile back but haven’t had to clean it too often. But I’d imagine if you have any food splashes, perhaps?
      I got two of these gap fillers and the silicone one, I think #3, I suggested can be cut. So it fills the gap effectively by just splicing the two together.

    I just got wolf 36” induction, nothing works like these videos I hope there is a technician whom is high tech enough to be able to fix it, oven works wonderfully except the beep volume is so low you nearly can hear it, the front is so big that is hard to work with the back burners and scratches very easily also the burners makes noise louder than oven, the one I got is different model

      I just saw your stove video on your channel. It appears you have the wolf 36” GAS stove. My stove in this video is an INDUCTION stove.

      If you did buy the induction stove after that video on your channel, there is the manufacturer warranty which should get you a technician on the Wolf site. Or you can post your issue in these comments as someone else may have solved it.

    Thanks for the overview. Very helpful indeed.
    I have been contemplating the Wolf stove or the Miele, and at this point the overall depth of cooking surface seems to have become the main differentiator. Note that I am restricted to the 30" and not the 36" unfortunately.
    Could you measure the glass area front to back from the rear edge of the metal strip to the front cooking slider controls, induction zone front to back and, more importantly, the distance between the centers?
    I have a 12" skillet which gets used quite a bit for our large family and on the 30", it seems I won't be able to fit anything behind the larger burner. Which of course on the 36", with the large burner in the center, isn't as much of an issue.

    • @neilbhay
      @neilbhay  Před 8 měsíci

      Sure. I hope I’m understanding what you want measured.
      Glass area front to back (rear edge of metal strip to front slider control) - 1.5 inch
      When you say metal strip I assume you mean where the clock and controls are.
      Left and right burner zone squares (edge to edge) - 8 inches
      Center burner zone square (edge to edge) - 11 inches.
      Distance between the center
      Left or right two burners -9 inches
      Side to center burner- 12 inches
      Hope that helps (and is what you were looking for!) Wish I could take a picture to be specific about what I’m measuring.

    You made on argument on induction stoves in general. But I was hoping you would make an argument on why the "Wolf" brand which is double the price of over other induction stoves that can practically do the same thing.

    • @neilbhay
      @neilbhay  Před 9 měsíci

      Good point. 😁Thanks for the feedback. While I can't make a comparative review with other induction stoves since I haven't tested out the other brands, I chose Wolf for three reasons:
      1) Review ranking: This specific stove when included in comparative review that I researched, it always appeared at the top of every induction review list I was researching with no cons mentioned. Where as other induction stove reviews seemed to have one gotcha.. like a "This could be better on this induction stove"
      2) Functionality: If I remember correctly, there was a review I read which seemed to indicate the contact zones for the magnetics worked better than the others in the review and the bridging capacity of multiple zones may be unique to Wolf (or a feature you won't find in lots of brands).
      3) Brand dependability/quality: The only other part of my review that I think was missing when considering a 12k appliance was the ability to to determine it's dependability. As with any appliance, you don't want to dish out a lot of cash and have to deal with lots of maintenance issues and you hope with that quality you get many years out of it (which nowadays it seems rare that an appliance lasts 10 years). While I haven't had any significant issue (so far). the Wolf brand itself from what I researched seemed to be historically dependable across all it's appliances (not just induction).
      Here's a vendor review which may make the case you were looking for from why Wolf over others (which seemed consistent messaging in these comparative reviews): blog.yaleappliance.com/should-you-buy-a-wolf-induction-range

    Can you cook a 9 or 10 inch pot on the 8 inch burner? The induction from Wolf I’m looking at has 4, 8 inch burners in the spot I like to cook with a large pot.

    • @neilbhay
      @neilbhay  Před měsícem +1

      @@KaraStanziani-ym8pf I never personally thought about this. I’m assuming much of the answer depends on the pan/pot and where its contact points are placed.
      I just tested boiling water on a 9 inch pot on the 8in “burner” and it seemed to work fine. I make pancakes on a larger skillet on the 8in “burner” a couple of times a week with no issue.
      So I’m guessing the final answer is it shouldn’t be an issue but possibly depends on the contact radius under the pot or pan you’re using.

      @@neilbhay thankyou so much for doing that for me. I’ve had a Wolf electric stove top for many years and recently my dad dropped something on it and it cracked and the sensor is off. Basically we need a new one so I been doing research on the induction for them. But my mom cooks a lot of soups and sauces with a 9 inch pot and the new Wolf stovetops are 8 inch burners where she likes to cook. They changed up the size of burners. I did ask at the store and they said should be fine as long as pot isn’t super big was a small burner. I appreciate you checking this for me! We’ve decided to go with Wolf induction because even though I wanted a different look/ color of other brands such as Thermador or Bosch some reviews said uneven heating and when I saw them in the store they looked and felt much softer than the Wolf and I’m afraid it would scratch/ crack easier. Plus wasn’t fingerprint resistant such as the Wolf. So we’re going with the Wolf for sure. Thankyou for making this video. It helped me so much. There isn’t many videos of people making reviews of the Wolf so this was helpful. It’s definitely worth the extra money plus the other higher end ones aren’t that much cheaper if not more money. Have a lovely day! 👍🏻😊

      Definitely share your end experience here if you find it works fine or if you had change to pans with a smaller radius contact point. I’m sure someone else will appreciate the confirmation.

      Yeah. Still happy with it. No issues. We had one issue where it showed an error code on screen, but we resolved it by resetting the power by circuit breaker. Performance continues to be great and would never go back to a gas stove.

    Is the oven with this range similar to the wolf M series built-in oven?

    • @neilbhay
      @neilbhay  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I’m not a representative of Wolf and not as studied on their other products so can’t speak with absolute certainty but it appears to mirror the M series transitional in terms of features, like the Dual VertiFlow convection and the interior looks the same. This is the one that I’m seeing as most similar:

      @@neilbhay thank you. I just purchased this 30" M series for a new rental property. I also purchased the 30" induction cooktop for it (not the latest version since they didn't have when i made the purchase) I'm planning the renovation of my primary home and have been researching the 36" induction range that you have. I hope that Wolf does not have supply issues that they did have.

      Interestingly enough… I purchased mine from designerappliances.com (on the east coast). Originally they told me back in June it would arrive in November, but called me back after I made the purchase a week later saying they just received some in stock and had it installed shortly after. I would be prepared for supply chain issues, but you can be pleasantly surprised like I was.
