One of my favorite VFX shots of all time is that nuke in the desert shot! Awesome work Nick!
And the Three Buttes still stood in MV. Great compositing. I've tried a similar shot myself although not as epic.
Absolutely breathtaking work! I LOVED those scenes from "The Man in the High Castle".
This guy is genius! He has 2 courses on Rebelway about Nuke compositing that look simply terrific!!!!
Outstanding work, especially his Man In The High Castle shots from the final season.
Wow, all that relighting is incredible!
Wow! its amazing!
Amazing!
are all the footage is shown is in high castle?
if not can someone comment down bellow
Wow, what a masterpiece!
well done mister
Nick did an amazing job! - Jonathan
@@ActionVFXofficial wow - Varun
Amazing! i want to learn this so bad
Very impressive. 👌🏻
awesome!
all the effects of the reel, including modeling and the particles were made by Nick?
Nice work. Wow
I subscribed at 99.6 or something! great work guys, (and Girls if there are any)!
Glad to have you!! Soon at 100k subs.
Impressive!
Do you have to still label the work done in a showereel, even if I have done all the work??
Badass!
Compositors and rotoscopers... the unsung heroes of vfx.
That shot at 2:23 its really sick!
Sensacional!!!!!
¿En qué programa hizo estos efectos visuales y composición?
Take a look at 1:55... how do you deal with multiple shades/colors of greenscreen in AE? The wall surface on the right, the edge of that wall facing left, and the background are all different "greens".
I'm surprised how minimal a lot of the practical setup for the full-CGI streets is.
Top-notch. :)
Stunning work.
WOW!
Cool 👍
2:07 which movies is this scene from???
Wow!
brother, why don't you put a video on the channel
@@yusufgoztepe7012 I would love to... I just need to put something together
@@IndependentVFX
2:01 movie/series this is from?
I would love to see a reel with the total cost per shot listed.
excellent! can you tell the movies ??
Cool...Hollywood perfection...
Hey action vfx can u do a video on some details of computer specifications and affordable systems for visual effects artists.
Agreed
That is a good idea! Thanks for the suggestion. - Cody
@@ActionVFXofficial eagerly waiting!

Christopher Nolan: We used a real nuke.

We'll be coming out with a brand new library for background plates this coming week, if that's what you're looking for! All of the clips can be used for practice, showreels, etc. Learn more here: actionvfx.com/practicefootage
Action VFX can you explain me that when we download any free VFX assets why does it shows that order placed 0$ ?
Hello! Thanks for reaching out on this. Are you having an issue downloading the assets to your account? - Jonathan
@@ActionVFXofficial no I am not having issue but it's showing that VFX assets cost 0$ and order placed
@@spectricstar8624 so, since those are the free vfx, it's just noting that you're not being charged anything. If you're able to add them to your account, you should be good.
@@ActionVFXofficial thank you for the help
@@ActionVFXofficial action VFX I just downloaded some free VFX assets and it worked I thought that free assets were paid but it's free and it's high quality specially the dust
I really need to learn 3D if I have any chance of making my own shit look good. Why must 3D be so hard and loaded of a subject to my dumbass brain. Editing is fine. Camera operation is fine. Grip/Gaffer duties are fine. 3D? Nope.
2D compositing is where I draw the line, some 3D stuff I can do but I wish I could do this sorta stuff for my own projects!!!
Agreed
Blender is the easiest of the lot haha and it's free.. from there you can migrate to other, more complicated software if needed
are there something like movie? isn't it a movie?? please tell me the name
Did you use blender?
Yes! Nick also used Nuke, Houdini, and Arnold. - Cody
How do you people do this 😱👌what software should be used and how to learn this?
Probably they are using Nuke for composition (merge all animations, stills and other elements) and any capable software for animation, particles, fire, water, etc. This software could be Houdini, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4d, Blender etc. Although Houdini its the most powerful when VFX is requested
Doing this definitely takes skill, but if you're wondering on the software used:
Nuke, Houdini, Arnold, Blender, and of course, the incredibly talented team at Barnstorm VFX using it. 💥 - Jonathan
So can you guys spot any of your ActionVFX elements in the break-downs? @@ActionVFXofficial
i think there is a blender addon that let u have a better control over the perspective and it kinda do the matching for ya if remember correctly.. and again, i think the man in the high castle's fancy cg was made in blender! i could be wrong though..
You’re right. Barnstorm FX use Blender and Nuke for 90% of everything.
1:50 I wouldnt work on this scene out of my office lol
Windows+M or CMD+M, my friend. lol - Jonathan
Is this the man in high castle?
It sure is! - Jonathan
