2019, anyone else here? David is STILL my favorite Idol, his voice is raspy and so beautiful. He is such a cool guy, and to have to have it on his shoulders wondering every day if the next day or phone call would be from his mom that Adam had passed away.

I'm surprised he auditioned considering he didn't have to follow through what the producer told him and simply leave with his brother understanding without complaining of David not being there for him. But I guess I should be happy David actually went for it considering I would not be listening to him in the first place.

So, so good right off the bat! And here in 2021, still making great music and doing great shows. This video is now a trip down memory lane, but DC is absolutely the voice for me - listen to his albums almost every day.

I listen to the collective soul version and i really like too. Normally for me i would listen to the oringinal versions of songs that contestant sing on the show as well as everybody probably. And there was alot of the oringinal versions that i like.With brooke white's You've Got a Friend and Definitly The World I know.
David's self released album before AI Analog Heart won the Urban Tulsa Weekly's "Absolute Best of Tulsa" award for "Best Locally Produced, Independent Album" in 2007.The album was chosen as the fourth-best CD released in 2006 by website Music Equals Life
David Cook really deserved to win 'cause his brother is suffering from brain cancer and the money 'could actually help !! But if Archie won what would he actually do with his prizes he's still a kid!!

@mamamialove i don't know if he's done that, but he had his brother sing the national anthem with him at a baseball game for their favorite team (i forget which one). But i think his brother does not wanna feel like he's only loved for David, so he doesn't wanna ride his coattails or anything. Make his own way, as David has said. I love DC. He is the best Idol ever. I loved Kris, and Lee is great. But there will never again be another David, or a finale to match his and Archie's.
I disagree about Archie being cuter. Although he is very cute. But this was a talent competion, not a beauty contest. America decided Cook had the most talent! My opinion is that DC is better to look at, as well.

@cobrafizzo he has been out supporting his platinum selling record, and he's now starting to record his second album. so if that was a comment like "he has had no success"-type of thing, you failed.

Then I'm like, "eh, oh well" He's doing things, as i said. He isn't mainstream though. I am pretty much in love with his music, and i didn't know he went platinum until i saw it on a youtube video a little while back. So it's all good.
