The undisputed most best CDL class A pre-trip video on CZcams (HANDS DOWN!) I passed my test off this Guy. If i ever saw him in person I'd buy Him the best stake dinner of His choice...💯💯
The only thing I could think to add to this is steering rod is properly mounted and secured with no play. Probably wouldn’t hurt to mention the band clamps on the brake chambers. Also while doing the in cab make sure you let the instructor know this is a 20 inch steering wheel and has no more than 2 inches or 10 degrees of play. I’m not bashing the video it’s a really good video. Those are just a couple of things my examiner looked for as well that I didn’t hear.

I like the fact that the truck components and parts in the engine and outside are nice and clean , easy to locate and recognize unlike other videos were their truck engines were all dirty and hard to identify! Good job with the video!
By far my fav on youtube. Straight and simple. In Ohio it has to be fone in 40min or less. All others i see are an hour long. This broke it down to simpler terms. Definitely saving this one. I start school in 5days.

I wish u the best, Everyone planning to be a driver has to pay alot to go school and exited. Do what's neccessary to improving yourself . Don't give up even if things turn harder. I PASSED MY CDL YESTERDAY BECAUSE OF THIS VIDEO!!! just make sure to add no missing nuts or bolts on anything metal and also anything that is rubber no abrasions, cuts or cracks or bubbling. Also with the brake camber don’t forget your brake chamber clamp

I have seen many videos checking what I could have missed to make sure I picked all is need to make sure I dont fail my test. So far this one has been d most complete and clear video. Not even my class intructor teacher has been this ,clear, complete and informative. Definitely that does worries me, after seen all the many things my teacher has missed.

Properly mounted and secured not cracked or broken all hoses are soft and pliable and not leaking. No illegal welds on anything metal that’s how I was tought

I'll keep watching this video until I can pass the test, I fell the first time for rushing my self, but the next time I'll be taking my time, Part after part, looking at every detail patiently identifying as it is presented in this very educational video .🤝👍
Very informative I’m just learning myself I just received my CDL permit from what I have been studying so far about the pre trip Inspection I didn’t hear him say the front of the truck wasn’t leaning, open and close the door, 3 points of contact when entering, driveshaft and ujoints or test the steering wheel for play.. No shade just trying to see how to pass the pre trip myself I thought the inspector was going to correct him to help us..God willing..
Great video! The order of the brake tests could have been done differently to save time tho. If you do the tug test and service brake test before the pump down, you dont have to wait for the compressor to refill the air tests to complete the pump down tests.
@@molipino1765 You need to point out and name the items. It's a scored system. You don't fail for missing something as long as you name enough items to get the pass.
Im here teaching myself how to drive. Day to day im a general contractor. Bought a tri-axle dump truck a couple years ago it's been sitting every since. Wish I had time to go to school but between the jobs kids and bills it's impossible. Woke up the other day like f this im getting my cdls. Been studying evey since thats how I landed here. i REALLY APPRECIATE THEM LEAVING THE REAL TIME FOR THE AIR BRAKE TO REFILL DURING THE BRAKE TEST. THAT WAY PEOPLE KNOW ITS GOING TO TAKE A WHILE AND THEY DON'T GET NERVOUS OR UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE EXAMINER. ALSO, FORGIVE THE CAPS LOCK LOL
reason why u have to learn it is because once your an over the road driver and something happen to your truck then thats how u know whats messed up. i thought cdl is just about driving and its not, you have to inspect everything before you even drive it.
So, pre trip inspection, tell the examiner about your truck, let him know about everythings condition that it's all good. You have to know your truck like you know your tuned up Honda. Easy. Like talking to your buddys about your new turbo build

Every states does it so differently but I find this one more understanding and the fact that the truck is clean in the video makes it way more easier
