Winter weather: Frigid cold, snowstorms make way across Canada

- Many Canadians finally got their taste of winter weather this past weekend as snow began falling from coast to coast, after a much milder December than people were hoping for.
But even as some communities begin to dig out from some of the snow, another winter wallop is already making its way through the country with the Prairies likely to see temperature hit as low as -45 C in some parts, while Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes are preparing for even more snowfall.
Sean Previl reports on what you can expect and what preparations Canadians should make as the winter weather finally settles in Canada.

I enjoy the 4 seasons where I live, including winter. There’s always something new to look forward to every 3 months or so!
Same with me. When one season comes to an end, i look forward to the next. Each season has so many fun activities and festivities to do and I would never trade it.

Have not had any all winter aside from a few inches that washed away a month ago.. that's gonna be bad for the crops and fires this year.
I'll be surprised if I even see snow here In Lindsay. It never matters what's happening outside of town. They might measure snow by the foot in the US, but here in town you need to use millimeters just to make it sound interesting.

It's a big business, these new science grads need a way to pay off their loans so they get into climate change activism, and are making good money. Just think of all the scientists behind this Globull warming.

We had the best fall in years here Alberta. Its almost like as of December 21st winter started showing up. Like they had seasons figured out centuries ago or something.

Ha ha so much for the heat pumps. Better get some oil. Or pellet stove and if power is out plug in your pellet stove to a generator. Trudeaus heatpumps dont work when power is out for a week or two. I loved filling up the coal furnace with two shovels of coal. Never cold.
