Baby Rhino and Mom reunited -Kruger National Park | Veterinary Wildlife Service |South Africa

What a special day it was today. So suddenly a lost baby Rhino walks towards us. And stood by our car. We have now learned a little about the behavior of wildlife from our friends from Marloth and our feeling said that this was not good. So we called them and asked what could we do. We received confirmation from them that this indeed never happens and that a baby Rhino is actually always close by. Through our friends we contacted the Veterinary Wildlife Services and explained our story. they indicated that they were going to look for the mother of the baby rhino because she was wearing a collar. We were contacted that mother had been found and had to give them our location so that Veterinary Wildlife Services could send the mother to the Rhino. After half an hour of pushing by helicopter, we saw that mother finally crossed the road and ended up with the baby rhino. What a wonderful experience to be able to participate in this wonderful action by Veterinary Wildlife Services.
