I mean to be fair on william, the whole point of undertale is to avoid the monsters trying to kill you. So undyne, asgore and more are guilty aswell. The only ones who aren't for the most part is papyrus, toriel, monster kid and sans (pacifist/neutral route)
Like I’ve said before, William murdered for his own personal gain; undyne, and asgore were doing it for everyone in the underground.
