Music video by Genesis performing Tonight, Tonight, Tonight (2004 Digital Remaster). - Hudba
Younger generations will never know how unbelievably great this song is!
Well I know it
Today's generation is wasted and lost in the fake world, the only one they know; social media. No real interactions, no real life experiences, no hand skills, no mud, sweat and tears in their lives. I'm sad for them.
So ist es!!! 👍👍👍
Some might 🤔
I'm 46 y old I remember first time I heard this song I was young kid even I'm not an English tongue but the keyboard and the music was like from another planet to me
One of best songs ever.. Genesis is genesis..
💜💜💜💜💜💜
Sorry Bro
This is the ultimate best song ever made by ……
Speciale his voice was great in the past 💯agreed
Right!
Damn right.
Who else loved Phil's voice throughout the '80's? I know I did 😃
I wish that there really were a hot tub time machine, how I'd like to go back to the 80's, a time before any of this virus/Great Reset came about,.....sure capitalism/greed were present, far from great I know but at least we were all kind of free and could openly speak/air a difference of opinion.
70's - high pitched eunuch voice
80's - deeper adult voice
90's - grandpa voice
Meee❤
Here!! 🤚
It's been with me since the early 90s as a young child in Central Germany. His music is timeless and wiser than first thought. hopefully it will stay with us for a very long time.❤️🌞🍀
When Genesis started to do more pop songs they really never gave up on the musicianship and progresiveness of their early work. The bridge in the central part is so thrilling and masterful and shows how great composers and arrangers they are..
Thanks Patrick Bateman
Definitely kept their prog identity
You’re so right. One can hear their amazing musicianship in every composition they have made.
3:22 and on…❤
What are you on about pop songs. The ending of this song from 430 onwards to me sounds more like motorhead than any so called pop band!! Live in the real world!
Invisible Touch the Album is one of the greatest musical offerings of the 80’s by any group, any genre. This record in my eyes just confirms it. Magnificent.
I was born in 78 and I've been listening to Genesis and Phil ever since. They are the gods of music
Guys, I'm like 45 now. That being said, the first album (vinyl), was Invisible Touch. Also, I'm an Aussie, so my dear Mum took me to see Phil Collins when I was 12. That was an awesome experience! I yelled out at the top of my lungs," onya Phil!" And lovely man that he is, called back," thank you very much up there!". So I was so stoked for that interaction! Anyway, I'm a metal guitarist, but Genesis freaking rock!😁
Cool Mum.
Such a powerful song! And Phil’s voice !!! Simply amazing. 👏🏻
Words don't describe the awesomeness of Genesis. The drums and the synths are just epic!!
Just not the drums in this track, perhaps ;)
I love the darkness. I love the melancholy. I love Genesis.
Me too..
I'm stunned that this only has a million 1/2 views - this is a dark brooding masterpiece from the best decade in music. 80's forever!
They don't know the real music bro
Well, whenever I want to listen to this song, I open the mp3 I ripped to itunes in november 2007... from the CD I bought sometime in the early 90s (got the vinyl back in 1986) ;-)
What I am more shooked of is dat it only has bout 8k likes
two million with ears
My thoughts too Reid.
Well said.
A Genesis Classic in every respect. Dark and melancholic, as a lot of great prog music pieces were and still are. This is as good as anything that was done by this band in any incarnation.
Blade Runner from 1982
Don Ricardo I was thinking exactly that
American psycho)
Superb! Like Phil goes in it: "Please, get me out of here..." and get me back to '80.
Tony Banks on keyboards must be the best pianist ive ever heard. Epic!
Phil Collins is one of the most amazing drummers.
He's so original with the crazy fills and phrasing that no one else would think of.
Amazing Drum cover: enjoy! czcams.com/video/5r4mjQdV_mo/video.html
@UserNo84 like you're any better than Phil.
@UserNo84 jokes on you Phil Collins is in the list of rolling stone 100 greatest drummers of all time. Sure Danny is higher in the list but Phil Collins is never average in any way.
@UserNo84 Plus who is one of the first drummers that use gated reverb effect. None other than Phil himself. A sound that shaped the 80s.
@@shahaffiq5860 gating drums and putting reverb on it is kinda more of a production thing
I play drums for more than half of my life now and (Im 28) I studied music and I assure you that Danny is a better drummer in every way.
Phil knows how to make something catchy which is cool but his ideas are basically so simple that everyone can get them which isn't bad but danny manages to make something complex available to everyone he opened up a whole universe of possibilities.
I love this song and the way Phil Collins sings so expressive!! I love the part of the song at 3:19.. Mysterious, dark, and also the lyrics are very deep
about a cocaine addict
Masterpiece
Yes
Sophisticated
Qué pieza más brutal, un excelente disco de Phil Collins con Génesis de mitad de los 80s, no se me olvida. Genial!
Creo q se usó para la serie Miami Vice el tema
What a fucking decade were the 80s, so melancolic music
.......so gooood!
"Invisible Touch" is from 1986.
I still stand with my opinion that the best decade was not the '80s or the '90s but it was 1985-1994
GENESIS.....................................80`s PURE SOUND MAGIC - TRUST ME !!!
I trust you....80'S. The best!!!!!

Lyrics
I'm coming down, coming down like a monkey, but it's alright
Like a load on your back that you can't see, ooh but it's alright
Try to shake it loose, cut it free, just let it go, get it away from me.
Cos tonight, tonight, tonight - oh, I'm gonna make it right
Tonight, tonight, tonight - oh.
I'm going down, going down, like a monkey, ooh but it's alright
Try to pick yourself up, carry that weight that you can't see,
Don't you know it's alright
It's like a helter skelter, going down and down, round and round
But just get it away from me - oh.
Because tonight, tonight, tonight - oh
We're gonna make it right
Tonight, tonight, tonight - oh.
I got some money in my pocket, about ready to burn
I don't remember where I got it, I gotta get it to you
So please answer the phone, cos I keep calling, but you're never home
What am I gonna do
Tonight, tonight, tonight - oh
I'm gonna make it right
Tonight, tonight, tonight - oh.
You keep telling me I've got everything, you say I've got everything I want
You keep telling me you're gonna help me, you're gonna help me, but you don't
But now I'm in too deep
You see it's got me so that I just can't sleep
Oh get me out of here, please get me out of here
Just help me I'll do anything, anything
If you'll just help me get out of here.
I'm coming down, coming down like a monkey, ooh but it's alright
It's like a load on your back that you can't see,
Ooh don't you know that it's alright
Just try to shake it loose, cut it free, let it go
But just get it away from me
Cos tonight, tonight, tonight - oh
Maybe we'll make it right
Tonight, tonight, tonight - oh.
Please get me out of here
Someone get me out of here
Just help me I'll do anything, anything
If you'll just help get me out of here
Tonight - oh, I'm gonna make it right
Tonight, tonight, tonight - oh.
Yes tonight, tonight, tonight - oh,
Yes I'm gonna make it right, tonight, tonight, tonight - oh...
Screw what Todd in the Shadows says, "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" is such an underrated, awesome, beautiful, eerie, suspenseful & atmospheric song, & no internet yank who never bothers to show his face should say such mean things!
Underrated? By whom?
I agree 👍 💯
Jesus christ. I wasnt even alive in The 80's but i seriously want to be there.
I absolutely adore and love this song the way phil sings and the band is a masterpiece ❤🎉
awesome song! I miss the 80s.
Oh look, a CZcams veteran! =D
Me too.

“Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.”
Hahaha well done sir.
Glad my mum showed me the genius that is genesis
top 10 greatest song of all time
Love the way they cross reference In too Deep during this song 🎵
80s Lives Forever ⭐

Fantastic video! I really miss the 80's and its great music!
Yes,yes,yes.....!!!!!!!!!
Same here. Can't stand the most modern music.
The last good era of music were the 90s. After the year 2000 most of the music became worse and worse and started to sound the same.
Yeahhhhhhh I really Miss
This song is superb.
From the dark and ominous drum machine, synth sequence by Banks, Collins electro drums and Rutherfords electric guitar intro, and Collins exceptional vocals; Tonight, Tonight, Tonight is a remarkable track.
Tony and Mike provide the most atmospheric, edge of the seat bridge, and then Collins vocals explode. Collins once said in an interview that the song is a story about a man on the edge, looking to score, but torn between addiction and wanting to go cold turkey. Rutherford's guitar solo in the outro is true perfection.
My favourite Genesis song ever ❤
One of the best Songs from Genesis 💯👏
I'd put this song in the the top 5 songs ever written
Ah masterpieces genesis most perfection 80s song all time!😎
After all Genesis is Genius...Best song of Phil Collins...My favourite singer!!!!
What you said just made no sense-how can it be the best song of Phil Collins when it is Genesis and you even said that at the start lol
Genesis music was Real.
It is raeeeeeel!
Unbelievable. With Love from Russia ❤
top 5 genesis songs... i said it
Bloody hell, a brilliant song off a FLAWLESS album
Die beste Musik , die 80iger!!
They actually got better when Phil started to sing. I mean, His voice is amazing.
Wrong. Both sides of Genesis have the best songs. Peter and Phil were talented in their own way.
And their songs were the usual 3 to 4 mins not 15 minutes
Best Phil was in abacab tour. Lack of training but raw and rocky
I agree beautiful voice ❤
In the air tonight, mama, and this mega spectacular spine tingling masterpiece,😀stand out for me,as well as all his and genesis chart busting hits😍😍a true 80s legend whose music will live on through the decades🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶
100% agree Theresa!

Pasaron y pasarán años, pero este tema jamás dejará de atraparte......que gran banda.....cuando se hacía música y videos como la gente.....que nunca se termine .....
Genesis para siempre❗️
🧡🧡🧡
Today music is all about image and not about how good your voice is and how talented back in the 1980s it was about the music and not about the video to sell sex. Genesis are so talented.
I would say it was really in the 1980s that it changed actually. Acts like Michael Jackson, Prince and Madonna (who were American superstars of the era) were very sexy and image was VERY important with them. British acts like Genesis and Dire Straits were already quite old fashioned compared to them.
MsFanmail Yer!! But now they worship..two horned god..who runs the muzic world..😈
True!!!
Yeah, I guess you're right , Matt, I mean George Michael also was very sexy, but singers like him, and Madonna etc, did have a lot of talent to back up their images.
today is garbage compared to this.
MsFanmail Very true..😠
Still a prog song. Good job Gens
Way back in 1987 I remember my son who was 2 yrs old then I use to play this no every night while he sleeps in d night .n he became a great music lover. Thanks Phil.
Best song on invisible touch
The drums on this are just beyond epic.

Classic Genesis, Great band
Awesome sounds loved Genesis since the 80s😘🙏🎶🎵🎼
Immer wieder Klasse und Dankeschön für Genises ❤❤❤ und seine Geniale Musik ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
LOVE it.. and love Phil!
I like to imagine that this is the song that describes Rael, the half-Puerto Rican street punk protagonist of the 1974 album The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, one decade later as he journeys through the 1980's Manhattan scene, hooked on heroin and living in a drug house.
Yes master, it's really fantastic!!
A couple of people have pointed out the Blade Runner look - well, that's very much due to the fact that the video was actually filmed in the real Bradbury Hotel (as in the film) where J.F. Sebastian had his pad and the encounter between Rutger and Harrison takes place (they really played on this in the video - note all the mannequins)
Spherical crystal clear sounds and Phils voice - a masterpiece! Genesis really knows music.
DOPE. Too good to be true !
I really love this song alot
Phil Collins, gênio: incomparável, insubstituível, único, ficará para sempre por gerações e gerações.
Das ist zu einfach!! Da fehlen noch 2!! Weitere Weltstars!! Im Ernst 🙋
