  • We've faced the Dempster when it's wet and cold, now the reward; the Dempster Resplendent. A gorgeous day, an impressionist landscape and three bikes. It does not get better.

So funny now I watch this video again and we can totally relate now...we had crap weather on the Dempster heading out on July 9th 2011 but nice going on the day before. I called my blog post Respect the Dempster! Wicked! Love that we have been there now. Makes me love your video more!

Did the Dempster as far as the Arctic Circle in June 2016 and for two months called it a "trip of a lifetime." Watching this vid.. about six times, I've got to go back again.. hopefully in August.. Great vid, great editing.. really does do justice to an incredible part of the world that every Canadian.. and every Yank who rides a m/c ought to try to experience!

Thanks for a great series, Neil (and friends)! I'd bet that 90% of "adventure" riders would qualify this as a truly adventurous trip. One need not venture totally into the wilderness on goat trails to find adventure. Off the tarmac is wild enough for most of us. Keep your videos coming!

Thanks for a great, informative and creative series! Love your expression of fondness for your country and the sights that would make Monet's lip quiver with desire to paint it. I don't care what others may say, I appreciate your wit and dry sense of humor. Cheerio!

@dialdn The chain on the F800GS broke at approximately 8000km. That was the only major issue. Rest was wear and tear. This road is hard on equipment though, the surface is coated with calcium-chloride to firm it up when dry, but it's very corrosive and slick in the wet.
Check the underbar for links to the review of the bikes.

Great video. New bucket list item for me too! One minor suggestion, put the previous and next video links in the description. When watching on the iPad, the links embedded in the videos don't work properly. If they were in the description, it wouldn't be such a chore to locate the next vid in the series. But...that's waaay minor, great stuff overall.
