A true Malaysian will never reply "You're Welcome" other than uncountable "Thank you"
hahahahah so true !!!
I also dunno why. Ppl thank me I always reply with thank you. I do it so often I no mood talk time, I nod my head. Even then I nod like 20 times a day
Where you learn your manner?
I never replied TQ when someone thanked me.
@@linustwof course dude knows manners. Its something like a habit and it just comes out natural by just thanking the person back lol. I felt that saying “you’re welcome” just doesn’t feel like we genuinely feel grateful for their thanks compared to our millions of replied thanks.

To be accurate, it is part of malaysian slang. Malaysian Indian, Malaysian Malay, Malaysian Dayak and Malaysian Dusun slang have a difference slang than this.

@@dariusz501to be accurate this not SLANG, slang are use of special words such as jom, kautim, tapao, relaxlah etc (example how american call french frieds n euro call chips, n how australian call speedoes as banana hammock).

This food is not authentic at all... There is nothing right about that rendang. You do not precook the beef to make rendang. And to cook it for just 15 mins? That's blasphemy! Authentic rendang is a whole day affair, and it has to be cooked slowly for hours and hours and hours. And you do not use lemongrass or chili powder in sambal. Achar (pickle) is not a traditional accompaniment for nasi lemak at all. But I guess most of his customers are whites (or whitewashed)... so of course they will be fooled easily...
@@CitizenCan Well since he is cooking the rendang on the spot it is acceptable. In Malaysia we cook the rendang at morning and sell it till evening. The achar part i agree tho.
@@CitizenCan Rather than not-so-nice way of saying fooled, it's more to catering to the tastebuds of the locals. Besides, there are a lot of 'fusion' foods in Malaysia, who's to say we don't offend any Italian or Western culture over here? Food brings people together, not divide us.

Its curried beef, stewed for HOURS. 35 mins in the pressure cooker 😂
It modern style, if traditional no pressure cooker. Make a stewed until oil separate (1 hour), after that put fresh meat for another 1 hour.

At least blend ikan bilis into the sambal.
1st food... straight up... Nasi Lemak Rendang Daging... a True Malaysian indeed...
I don't need rendang to interfere with the taste of my nasi lemak. All you need is: nasi lemak, the sambal (this makes or break the dish), fried anchovies (I suppose most Americans would hate this), fried peanuts, boiled egg, and freshly-sliced cucumber. All should ideally be wrapped in banana leaf. Eat and go to heaven.
When order nasi lemak, i like to add beef rendang or sotong sambal. Everyone like differently side dish in nasi lemak
Well , when you look at it.. actually if the American government would let our Malaysian people to make it through easier.. they can taste and eat Malaysian food in an easier way..
But please man, eat with spoon.. more easily 😊

He said from the start even though he called it Malaysian, it is actually fusion. He clearly explains it. A lot of Malaysian restaurants overseas have to have a "western" menu for the Western audience, a "chinese" menu for the Greater China /HK/Taiwan folks and a "malaysian" menu for the Malaysian folks. If not, no business and can close the shop tomorrow.
