    Determine the future value at the end of 5 years of the following series of payments at 5% rate of interest:-
    At the end of 1st year= ₹1,000
    2nd year= ₹2,000
    3rd year= ₹3,000
    4th year= ₹4,000
    5th year= ₹5,000

    How will you differentiate between when to use which formula the questions are almost same.

      In this question the amount is being paid "per annum" that is every year that amount is being paid.
      In the previous formula it was only a "one-time" paid amount.
      Always look for the key words like "per annum/every year".

    Thank u for this but in the last 100000 × 6.105 = 6,10,500 is answer but in the first ans is 6,10,510 and in second there is 6,10,500 is this correct or not because there difference is 10

      Calculator one is also correct and what mam has said that is also correct as we divide naturally without calculator than we will get 0.10

    In my text the equation manually calculating the future for annuity is
    A[(1+r)^n-1/r]×(1+r)
    But compared to table answer
    Mam's answer is correct
