Thanks Ross. If your budget (and backpack) can stretch I can recommend both. I’ve started doing more travelling lately and the AirPods Max are phenomenal for trains/planes. Big old battery life too.
I really liked both ear cuffs as well the Mesh cover, I recently purchased a navy blue APM and will buy these two accessories.
Yes, I've settled on the black ear cuffs, they look really smart and do a good job of protecting the headphones! I found the see-through ones a bit naff-looking after time!

So, basically these are a must to counter the flaws in apples design and choices of materials. When you've slapped on the silicon non breathing headband, the plastic covers they look ugly as hell and the light weight is gone.😂
To be fair, even without the accessories fitted these are pretty heavy. But I take your point. 😜

Hey my friend. All those accessories you mentioned I have them but with them being so heavy after they're installed being that they're already very heavy I ended up not using the ear cups cover and just the headband cover. With all of them on plus I use the ear cup cushion covers for sweating everytime. I like the accessories but with them on I have to readjust them every time i move. Annoying.

Good show! That cabe is about the smallest wire I have ever seen a for th price an heaviest of of th head phones it should have been in the box! Even my watch has a bigger wire. "Apple you must be proud" Cheers!

If u have a iPad mini or iPad Pro. And don’t want to use Bluetooth/use a lightning to usb c and it works for sound Too on them

Does the sleep mode work? Without using the bra case in the bigger case? I've heard of connectivity issues, and that they're only offer physical safety.
Yes, they do work in putting the headphones in sleep mode without needing to use the bra case. This brand/model anyway.

Will the cable work with an aircrafts IFE system?
I have used it with IFE system - but you’ll need a $5 splitter to plug the 3.5mm jack end into.

@@maxwellsteven868 Ha - thanks mate. I find the bass is just fine for my tastes, but I do tweak the EQ in the music apps I use (and when sitting at the desk, often use it in wired mode so I can run it through an audio interface).

Airpods - lightning to 3.5mm - now 3.5mm to usb c !!! Works ?
I haven’t tried the USB-C to 3.5mm version but the lightning version works really well. I use it for monitoring audio when I’m doing video work for clients and events.

Not so far. I don’t use the hard shell case often though, maybe 1-2 times per month.

if i order the hard cover and the slim case, can i still put in the case and still be in sleepmode? can i not use the bra anymore? :D
Yes. There’s a little magnetic flap in the case that puts the AirPods in sleep mode. So you don’t need the bra at all if you just wanted to use that case.

I have tried AirPods Max in the Apple brand store and I was pleasantly surprised in terms of comfort, sound quality, noise reduction, etc. It is an excellent product!
Yep. The main downside I have for things like air travel/listening while working is that they are a tad on the heavy side.
