  • Does your family have a homeschool mission statement? We didn’t always have a mission statement, but I’m so glad we adopted one! Following a homeschool mission statement is the best way for us to stay on track, maintain our commitment, and prioritize connection as we learn and grow together.

Quinn was also my rainbow baby. I didn't even realize that homeschooling was legal.Right now our mission statement is raising a child who loves adventure and books! Every time she sees a tall tree or the ocean, I want her to be amazed and never lose her awe. I encourage her to be resourceful and curious. I also call her my little bestie so she knows that we are lifelong friends.

I love your mission statement; it's truly amazing. I'll have to think on this for a bit. But, I do know that I would like my son to have curiosity (always) and be willing to research what he is curious about. I want him to want to know how things/society work/operate. I want him to feel confident in this crazy world. Thank you for all of your wonderful/inspiring videos!

Mission statement: To provide my children with a consistent education as we are forced to move to new states or countries every few years.

Thank you so much for this Jessica!! What a breath of fresh air to remind us that there will always be “educational gaps!”

Yes, thank you for this! Through all the ups and downs, we can go back and remind ourselves why!

I love this! I have wanted to make one but never really knew how to create one. This totally makes sense.

I never really wrote down our mission statement. But I've known the why, the how, and the goals. We put our son in preschool at a PreK-5th grade school. After witnessing the treatment of our son (being put out in the hall, sat in a corner, sent to the 'calm down room'), the refusal to give him an IEP, and the blatant disregard of his 504 plan - we refused to send him for Kindergarten. COVID happened so it cut off his full preschool year. Our son deserves an education that fits his learning needs. Mainstream schooling proved it couldn't do it. We added Tutorial classes to his homeschooling and he thrives in them because he has wonderful teachers who have special needs training and work isn't graded by mainstream standards.

💙, Love, LOVE this idea. We are on our 5th year of homeschool and I do not have a mission/vision statement....yet. I will need to ponder this concept. Thanks for making this video. You're one of my favorites. I am so inspired by your channel.
