with those blades you don’t want to zero gap them, they need to be put as far back as possible to hit the desired length
I use blur blade and it zero gapped and still cuts to 1.5
I've been cutting since 2002. I know how to cut hair multiple ways, the "old" way and the new way. I have used all of these blades and the blur is my favorite for over all use; it just makes it easier and require less clean up. If you're complaining about this being another hack and you can just use the clipper at different angles and rake or use a clipper and comb, then you too can put down your clipper and just use shears and a comb or a razor and comb or maybe a flint rock and your hand. Stop complaining and learn to use it all! This industry will continue to innovate.

I clipper over comb with my phats and it is the best way to go about that.
I used an adjustable and my phats ONLY for the first 3 years that i cut hair. It's rad
The point of the blade isnt to zero gap it. Its supposed to pick up where the regular andis master blade leaves off which it does.
I use this process for some cuts. One master has the original blade and the other the phat master. I don't need guards this way for most cuts. If I need to use a 3 I may just pick up the shears and a comb.
@Vyatru1 Yeah that was its intended purpose. Its not necessarily faster it just might be simpler for some people than having to switch guards. Zero gapping it trying to make it do something it wasnt designed to do in the first place like take out a zero line for example with that thick of a blade is kinda pointless

Andis. I haven't even watched the video and Andis hands down. I put the blur crunch blade on my seniors and they do not cut hair at all. They rip it directly out. But not cut.

Using the phats with the grain on the sides of beards is the only way. Also, you don't zero gap it....... Ever
I dont understand why people buy these blades/gadgets to do something you can learn to do with just your everyday clipper and its more efficient and cuts more clean/flush than using the phat master or phat master blade. Just learn to rake with your clipper it will do the same length as the phat master does and do it in less time and less passes.
Because we are board with cutting hair the normal way. Some us need thinks that challenge us. Been doing this so long i dont even process a thought while i cut hair and these thinks make me feel like im learning again
@CZcamsBarberAcademy When i get bored i just fade differently. If i always fade up i just fade down if i always do the whole head i break it into parts. If im bored using the same clipper i just buy a different clipper for shits and giggles. But using a tool/blade designed to make your job "easier" when it really doesnt. Is a waste of time and money.
@@Mike-hy8cs honestly once you get the hang of using these big blades, it’s actually a lot of fun and I do have to say when it comes to detailing towards the end of your haircut it definitely is faster than jumping around with your guards
