German 'Rekord' Air Pump Restoration
#restoration #diy #asmr #airpump #rust - Zábava
This was a very cool video to watch. It had the perfect mix with good and quality work, creative ideas and solutions and great filming and editing. The selfmade allen screws were definitely the highlight for me.
Thanks a lot, sir!
Yes I admit to having been surprised by that one
I don't know man. The constant talking drove me nuts. 😁
On a serious note, it was *very nice!*
@@josephking6515😅
We miss you my mechanics
Thank you for the "welding goggles" effect. That really helped.
You’re welcome!
What's the purpose? Really, I don't know why they cover the welding.
@@JorgeArayaMaggiolothere are people who wanted to report me, because the rays can make them blind. Reason 2: I want to take a little bit of brightness, since some viewers watching the videos at night in total darkness. So it’s a little bit more comfortable to watch.
@@misterpatinathanks for the answer! Of course there will be some other users that don't like that window
People sure do get afraid of things they don't understand eh? Lol
I am watching in a dark room though, and it's nice to avoid the flash.
Cheers

накуй это разбирать. пошкурил покрасил, смазал. результат тот же ,затрат меньше.
@@user-cc9hi3kt4uДля меня дело было не в том, чтобы снизить затраты.
@@misterpatina а в том что бы снять контент. ясно
Very impressive, as always. This was the first time I've seen anyone make hex screws (heating to 800C, pressing in the hole, etc.)., very clever.
Thanks! Iam glad you like it!
Beats broaching for sure
I always learn from him. Good stuff.
As a welder. I just want to say you're an absolute king for adding in a green filter around the brightest area when you're making the weld. Thank you so much!
Also, I think you've tried to be a bit cheap with the cutting paste. Definitely use a bit more next time. Lol.
i just shut or shield my eyes when they weld
Thanks a lot! I appreciate your feedback and I will order some gallons of cutting paste for the next video 😅
I can not applaud you enough on your job restoring the pressure gauge. That takes a level of patience and determination that I can only dream of having - I would have gotten frustrated quickly and just bought a new one. Seriously, well done, and amazing video ❤.
Thank you so much! I was pretty glad the fragile needle didn’t break. If so, I would’ve bought a new one 😅
Solidne stare wykonanie narzędzi . Dzisiaj się ich tak nie robi - a żal . Bardzo dobra robota . Pompka posłuży następne 50 lat .
😂🎉
Phenomenal skill, Mister Patina, and great patience. Mr. Patina, Jr. is fortunate to have a Jedi Master to teach him the art. Cheers.
Thank you so much - love your comment 😅
Beautiful work! I hope, for your health, that you had a mask on when you were welding on the metal with zinc primer...Metal Fume Fever really sucks.
“A small amount of cutting paste”? Small? I could brush my teeth for a month with that amount! 😂😂👍
Are you sure that you didn't need a bit more paste, Mr Pantina? 😅😅
Probably don't brush with cutting paste though.
So you’re telling me I should use a small amount more in the next video..?
The you have very small teeth? 😉😁🤣👍🏻
Anchor Lube is also a dessert topping and hair pomade
M.P. you did a fantastic job on that pump.. That was made when they actually put some metal in things.. I've used more modern reproductions of those pumps and they just collapsed sideways under the weight of your foot.. Again very nice work...
Thanks a lot!
Sure, you can buy a new one. Sure, it is cheaper and faster. But during restoring things like this, you are becoming a truly legend! Thanks for your video man! Peace!
Thank you so much! I really apreciate! :-)
That rebuilt pressure gauge is sweet! Beautiful job
Thanks!
The pressure gage is exceptional, nicely done
Cheers
Thanks!
I'm hardly ever this early to the party! Hooray for Mr. P! ❤
Haha, Iam glad you’re here!
I get rid of my daily troubles by watching these videos, thank you
You’re welcome!
This leather gasket turned out very nice, really good job! 😉👍
Thanks, iam glad you enjoyed!
I had one similar to that when I was a kid. Never thought I'd see one of those again, but he we are!
Mine was red. Let it go with a boat trailer a few decades ago.
Beautiful! I bet that thing will last forever with some maintenance every now and again.
Yes thanks ❤🧡💛
I just wanna say thank you for put the green screen over the welding flare thank you
You’re welcome!
Marvelous restoration job you did on the old foot pump. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. I also like how you made some new parts for the pump as well. Excellent work as usual.
Thank you so much, iam glad you enjoyed!
*_You are very wonderful. Wishing you many customers_*
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…. You are an absolute genius when it comes to restoring things! 👍🏻
Thank you so much!
I had one of those in the late 60s, early 70s. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still at my parent’s home. Love your work, Mr P. 👍
Tell me when you found it 😉
Очередной веще дал вторую жизнь! Красавчик 👍
Mr. P, what a lovely restoration. Well storied, well filmed, very well edited. This was a nice one and thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed this.
Iam glad you did! Thanks Vickie ❤️
That one was built with heavy gauge metals. I got one that was made from sheet metals. Nice refurbishing efforts and great end results too... Thumbs Up!
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for the great content Mister Patina. Especially since your buddy My Mechanics has gone on his "long car journey".
Insider: MM gave me a lot of tips for the air pump. I guess there will be a big boom when he’s back on the 'classic' restorations 🤣
That was splendid! When you started, I did not imagine that this would be so beautiful and interesting. Thank you for such an uplifting video. 😊
Thanks my friend!
With each new release you become better, it’s especially nice to see the attention to small details. Very cool work, I really enjoyed watching it!
Thanks a lot brat!
@@misterpatina love you bro🤩
Very nicely done. Especially loved the pressure gauge restoration.
Iam glad you enjoyed!
Love it man especially the customer dial housing!
Thanks!
This type of "Vintage" foot air pump are Now difficult to find. (I have 1)
I watch and enjoy many "Restoration" videos. None has ever bother to shield your
eyes from The Welding Arc, Until Now!
Вау, супер! Просто полная реставрация, полностью все! Не часто такое увидишь у подобных авторов!❤
What a great project to watch! That project must have taken a long while to do. There was so much work just to be chopped down to a 27 minute video. Well worth the watch though. Liked that you tested inflating your little man’s bike.
Hey B, thanks! Yep, this was pretty intense, had to do a lot here. Have you seen the 37 minute video?
Thanks a lot my friend!
No. But, if that was your subtle way of getting me to check my Patreon page, it worked. Appeared like I had to re-register and wasn’t a member of your crew. Strange. But, I’ll check it out. Be safe, sir.
First class restoration, the pressure gauge looked irreparable but you did a great job.
Very nice restoration and a lot of work. Especially the rebuild of the spring was very interesting. Regards 😊
Thanks! Iam glad you enjoyed!
I'm glad you removed the spider before putting the gauge in the ultrasonic cleaner. Because spiders don't like to be cleaned that way.
Everyone knows that spiders love getting cleaned with the high pressure washer.
I think you missed the "square" symbol (tiny, raised digit 2) in the pressure unit on the dial. Pressure is per square cm (or square m, or whatever square unit of length).
What a lovely job! Thanks for the video! Every new episode is better and better!
Thanks! Iam glad you like it!
Mein Gott…..was für ein Aufwand, für eine alte Luftpumpe 😂 😉
PS: Respekt für Ihre Arbeit 👍
Danke!
Beautifully restored. I'm as impressed by byour work as usual. The component you referred to as the "Rekord" part, I'd call a treadle.
Thank you so much!
You sir have got some way cool skills plus _toys_ and I am seriously envious. Now you have forced me to watch more of your exquisite restorations.
Thank you for sharing this with us. 👍
Hey Joseph, im glad you like my work! 🙂👍
Hello mister Patina beautifully restored good job
Thanks!
this might be your best video.
Thank you so much! 🙂👍
I am always in awe of your skill . . . it is just you put it all into something that would get you $20 at a yard sale
It’s not about how much I’ll get for it. It’s about fun and challenging myself
and you do it very well@@misterpatina
I have the modern knock-off copy of this general design, it fell apart quickly.
Glad to see its quality ancestor returned to life!
Brilliant work as usual! Seeing the hex screws being made was especially neat.
Thanks, iam glad you like it!
@@misterpatina You're very welcome!
That's beautiful. I love the shot of the tiny swarf coming out of the housing.
Bravoooooo maestro veličanstveno uradjen posao.Veliki pozdrav iz Bosne od vjernog pratioca Mileta.🙋🙌🙌💪💪💪👍👍👍.
Can I just say that not only do I look forward to your videos, I am so very thankful for the welding green circle screen! I love watching the welding bits but it just hurts my eyes! Another cool looking refurb! Better than new! ❤
Vom Feinsten! ❤
Einfach ne Freude zuzusehen 😊
Danke dir! 🙂
excellent work, as usual. so cool to see these beautiful old tools and equipment brought back to life
I can't tell if you're an engineer, machinist, or watchmaker. Bravo! Well done. They don't build like that anymore.
Officially iam a chassis builder! But I think I just love what I do.
Thank you so much!
Very good!

Золотые руки у мужика!!! Молодец!😊
Fantastic work.
Thanks!
That 'staaaaaahp' part with spidey got me 🤣🤣
😅😅
Super jest to odrestaurowane ta bardzo mocno stara pompka do samochodu pozdrawiam serdecznie 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Absolutely beautiful finish, Sir! Awsome video as always! I love everything about your content! Keep it up and stay safe! 🍻🤘💜
Thank you so much man!
Great job on a very practical device. No need for batteries or electric plug-in and it gets the job done! That welding eye shielding on the video should be requisite for all youtube videos showing welding or extremely bright light as a eye-safe method for us viewers. Again, great job!
Very nice. I bet I it will out do anything in the stores..
Great work, I love the details. Thank you. You have made us happy with your content
Incredible restoration.
Nice job Mr. P!! Like it!!
Thanks!
Hypnotized for 27 minutes straight.
You are absolutely crazy!
Nice! Good I learnt a new way to fix the meter. Thanks a lot.
youre welcome!
Seriously impressed! Just looking at how damaged it was versus the end result... I'm blown away. Very beautifully done! 👍👍👏👏👏👏
Im glad you like it! Thanks! 🙂
Phenomenal. The gauge! Amazing work.
Thank you so much!
Very nice restoration and video! Love your stuff Mr. P!
Thanks Jared!
Very cool and different!
One of your best videos ever. Great job man.
Thanks a lot!
Really good idea of using the vice to bent the metal good video 👍🏼
Mini Patina will be very happy!
You have Got skills man.... Great
Thanks!
I think this is a foot pump, not a hand pump. Excellent restauration, sir, as always!
This is by far the best one you done so far! Great job!
Thank you so much!
Very nicely done 👏
Thanks!
It looks great and you did a masterful job restoring it as well!!!!
I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thanks!
Awesome job!
Thanks!
Thank you for putting a cover over where you were welding. Many don't do that and it's uncomfortable to watch.
Thank you for the video, it made my day today and today was not a very good day. Very nice job!
Thanks - Youre welcome! Tomorrow will be better!
you are always the best
Spetacular job, Mr! Thank you guy for share knowledge!
Thanks a lot!
Ha ha that welding 🥽 filter 🤩🤩
Wonderful !
enjoyed every single second . well done pal
Thanks, iam glad you enjoyed!
For Mr Patina Jr, you already get the Like
Haha, thank you so much! We appreciate!
In the 90s i had one of those with a lot more springtension.
It was always fun when you slipped off the pedal that shoots against your ankle.
Haha, Bad memories but hey, you remember it 😅
Most excellent! ✌🏻🎨☕️
Thanks 🙂
Wow, what a beautiful restoration! Incredible attention to detail, great job!
Thank you so much!
Love how it whistles! Adds to its charm.
Another great restoration. I think, though, that your foot pump is older than 1960s. I inherited my Grandad's one which looks almost the same as this, with the same style and fittings, and his dates from the 1930s, so I reckon yours does too.
I thought it was older as well. But when disassembling the gauge, '1960' was stamped on the back of the scale 🤔
@@misterpatina curious.....
Restoring the pressure gage is the best part
Великолепная работа! 👍🏼
Oh i had one of these. Don't recall tossing it. Oh well, who knows where it went, not I. Great resto Mister!
Muy buen trabajo y filmación. Buen capítulo.
Gracias
Excellent restoration and lathe work. I hope the spring works.
Olá MM, ansioso por uma atualização do Datsun. Saudações do Brasil.🤝
