It is a great way for a strong young man to make fast money through. I’ve been there, it was definitely worth it but I went into the medical field after and never looked back.

Remediation its more labor, they actually have to clean the oil spills with shovels. Depending on how many barrels, but usually is a foot deep. Make sure the dirt is clean. A big headache when it happens on batteries.

Its not that crazy out here anymore regulations got most positions working shifts, i know when i started in wireline back in the day wed show up on location stay in a trailer until the job was done weeks at a time. I hated it but when those $7-8k checks hit every couple weeks it made it alot easier to get through it.. coming from 35k a year jobs back then to clearing 4x that in my first year the oilfield can be a blessing and a curse just gotta learn how to make your money work as hard as you do!
