The actor confirms he held a private screening of the sequel for 'Top Gun' superfan Prince William, and confesses he wants to go flying with his fellow aviator! I just love Tom Cruise because of his excellent work ethic. He loves his fans because he wants them to have a good experience when they watch his movies. He also does not act like the big star that he is. He is kind and humble. This is his character and that makes him unique and authentic as far as I am concerned.
This is one of the many reasons why I've always loved Tom Cruise. He reminds us that while celebrities may live lavish, incredibly fulfilling lives that they are first and foremost still people. He's never been afraid to be humble.

Aside from the kookiness of Scientology....one could say that about ALL religions....the only other instance of kookiness I'm aware of was the all the hullabaloo generated when he jumped excitedly on Oprah's couch. And to be honest, I didn't see that as kookiness at all. I saw it as excitement. But the MEDIA saw it as an opportunity to take him down a notch just for sport by portraying it as "kookiness".

@@fredwerza3478 Kennedy Center will have to wait because he isn't remotely close to the end of his career. It'll happen. As for an Oscar, he's already put in those performances in "Born On The Fourth of July", "Rainman", and "The Last Samurai". He lost to Daniel Day Lewis for "My Left Foot", so a great performance is never a guarantee. You need a great performance AND a lack of solid competition for that Oscar year. No easy feat.

Some people gets criminalized then interrogated , get squeezed & grilled to extract ideas then ripped off and thrown to dirt then left to dead or labeled as insane person or paparazzis then gets years of harassments or constant hazings from crews . Throughout my 50 years of flying (small planes, many homebuilt, not a rich guy) one of the coolest things about aviation is the people I have met that I would not have anything in common with, BUT our love of flying makes us instant friends, Cruise summed it up perfectly.
