    Coming across the GW bridge from New York to New Jersey, if you look up at the cliffs on the right, I used to see cannons there! This was 20 years ago when I used to commute, so I’m not sure if they are still there…
    Much easier to see when all the leaves are down.

      Yep! That's Fort Lee! One of Washington's forts during the revolutionary war. The town is obviously named after the fort.
