About Summer House:

Paige is happily in love with Craig, and they are the best they’ve ever been. However, when she starts looking for a new apartment in New York, Craig questions her choices and she is left wondering if her unwillingness to commit is going to push their relationship over the edge.
For the first time in years, Danielle is single for the summer. Will she be able to rebuild the relationship with her former best friend while allowing herself to grow, find love and launch her new app?
After two years in New York City, Ciara is coming into this summer full steam ahead with a more positive mindset. Will this new mindset allow her to fall for one of the new housemates or will her past relationships in the share house scare her off?

He doesn’t talk in circles. He just doesn’t know how to articulate in a way that makes things utterly clear for Lindsay. She’s a realist and requires communication in great detail. The type that reads all the instructions thoroughly and following to a tea before putting anything together or ever putting those instructions away. Problem is she’s not a good listener when not understanding someone nor does she realize she’s not understanding someone because she’s the type that needs more than great detail to understand what she hasn’t learned or experienced herself. This adds a lot of problems to all she requires in a relationship with someone so different than her. When someone regularly says the negative things on their mind, that’s exactly the energy they emit and life they ultimately live, even if they have fun and happy moments, it’s always big highs and big lows…chaotic, especially around people who don’t like this.
Carl does require a gentle partner who gives a lot of understanding, and affirmations with love, affection and support that’s more loving instead of a realist type. Realists can be very negative because they naturally worry about the negative all the time (even without thought/just instinct) trying to prevent the bad from happening yet that same frame of negative mind/worry, often brings on the bad. They don’t see a lot of the good in the little things. They want and expect big highs, great things, the best, etc. which is actually a loss of reality; the opposite of reality for a realist happens a lot. Then they blow things out of proportion and emit a lot of negative energy. Carl’s been through a lot and is naturally deep down very sensitive so seeing the good in the little things is vital for someone like him.
I have respect for both people here. However, Carl and Lindsay are not a good match, that’s pretty clear. But I also think Carl is living in a city with many realists that like to always say what’s on their mind. That’s a lot of constant blows to someone like Carl. Sadly, I don’t think NYC is a good fit for him either. It’s an awesome city but not for Carl to live.

At first, it was the right decision for Carl and Lindsey to separate. Initially, Lindsey was wrong in the early episodes when she falsely claimed that Carl was drunk, which was unfair. However, Carl is a people-pleaser with no clear direction in life. He is overly indulged by his parents and struggles to make his own decisions. Now I understand the frustration that Lindsey had to endure, which is truly draining.
