Great analysis for my team man! The biggest factors are this. Tom Telasco is gone! He didn’t know how to construct a winning team. Second, Spanos stopped being cheap as hell. Staley was bad, but those 2 I just mentioned were the root of the problem

Fun fact Jim Harbaugh has more playoff wins since 2011 than tomlin has and he only coached for 4 seasons.

Great point! Now do Super Bowl wins. Granted, Tomlin’s win was 15 years ago. . . Which means he had more SB wins 15 years ago than Jim Harbaugh has won as a coach or player.

@@WilltellthetruthWell maybe if Harbaugh COACHED 15+ YEARS in the NFL that would be a even assessment. Your comparing one as a player and one as a coach BIG difference so let's focus on the coaching because tomlin didnt play in the league. Harbaugh has a higher win percentage as a coach and again did not coach nearly as long as Tomlin in the NFL. Harbaugh also has a national championship if you want to compare things outside of NFL COACHING in particular.

Herbert in his career is 24-7 when the defense holds opponents to 26 or less. Only 2 teams gave up more than 26 a game last season! If Harbaugh can just bring respectability to the defense, they will be a playoff team. If Harbaugh can make the OL dominant, they will be a threat! The OL is already projecting to be pretty good, but if Alt can elevate the squad, they will be dangerous.

The Chargers switch numbers between Ladd McConkey and Quinten Johnston. Give Ladd that number 1 and make Quinten earn that number 17 jersey. If he doesn't, show him the door.

Honestly I think Lombardi was a better coordinator than Moore. Both of them though did not cut the mustard. I knew when Lombardi was hired that he wasn’t going to really bring the best out of Herbert and the offense. Kellen Moore situation was funky from day 1 in the way he left Dallas and how much oversight and control McCarthy had over the offense, I really don’t think anyone can say Dallas’ success on offense was 100% Moore when McCarthy was very very involved in their offensive coaching.

Harbaugh is the real deal same as Peyton in Denver. But - better staff needs players. Their money situation got away from them. Harbaugh can turn this around but it will not happen in year one, my guess in year 3 they will challenge KC for the division. Herbert is not the problem.

Chargers played lots of competitive close games against really good teams past 2 years or so.
5-12 record last year but half of those losses were within 3 points. If Harbaugh can turn those close games into wins the Chargers are a 10 win team easily

I’ve watched JH work from scratch before. He’s sneaky. They should do better than Denver but it’ll take time overall. They’re low on offensive talent, the playbook is new for both O and D, and the QB tends to get outplayed at times. And while it’s nice to hear how good you’ll be each year, it’s usually unrealistic and just adds extra pressure. I think they’ll be okay.

Diayan Henley is going to be a starter at LB and surprise the NFL pundits. Staley wasted his first year but in Minter's defense he will shine with his speed and agility, he is a sure tackler who is also explosive and hard hitting, great in coverage with ball hawking skills. I wouldn't be surprised if he outshines both Perryman and Colson.
