You're such an analogue OG, love it.
Also, you told the story of how you got introduced to slide guitar. Let me tell mine: Once upon a time I clicked on this video and the rest is history.
So congrats, you went from being inspired to becoming the inspiration.
John, Loving your videos and I am learning so much. Please do a tutorial for the finger picking song at the beginning. It sounded awesome and I would love to learn it.
I agree
Thank you so much! Will do 👍
Watching your videos has inspired me to dust off my old acoustic and get playing again after 20 years. I'm loving it even though my fingers ain't what they used to be! It's coming back though!
Really great to hear dude! Keep going with it 👍🎸
A very nostaligic video, Lee. I remember those ads that inspired you. For me, It was watching John Williams on the cleo lane show one Sunday night. he sat there and played cavatina. I got a guitar for my 7th birthday. I had one lesson then never played guitar again until lockdown. 40+ years later. Love your inspiring vids.
Oh yeah who doesn’t love Cavatina ! Thank you so much brother 👍 keep playing ok 🎸🔥
I taught myself how to strum 20 years ago. Never was a picker. I really appreciate you man. Youve nade ne much better.
Ah dude that’s great to hear! Enjoy and keep me updated on your progress 👍🎸
Hi teacher 🙏 thanks for keeping blues alive ♥️♥️ have a nice weekend bro 👍

Jeezo, that looks great fun. Hadn't thought of trying this, but you've a way of getting us to play better than we thought we could.
Thanks for keeping with us mate, what a legend!
Really great to hear dude, thank you so much for your kind words 😎👍🎸

Keeping the blues alive. 👍

Very interesting video, i just picked up the guitar in my mid 20s now and started watching videos and reading tabs widely available. It's way easier now, charming story and thanks for the tutorials on fade to black & to live is to die.
Great to hear! You’re very welcome, thanks for the positive feedback 👍🎸
Thanks Mate...Wicked...Got to be worth buying you beer...Great stuff...
Oh thank you so much Mark! Much love to you and your family ❤️ all the best! 🎸
Same to you brother...All the very best...
Thanks a lot !Thats great timing. I just bought me a brass slide 3 days ago and now you come up with this video. I would also love to see a tutorial for this opening tune, reminds me of shakey graves. He plays a lot in open D
Great, really happy to hear this! Yeah, I know Shakey Graves I saw him live a few years ago brilliant guitar player😎👍🎸
I was lucky enough to see Labamba when I was 4 or 5!!! I played a tennis racket acting like it was a guitar for about a yr until I finally got my first squier!!!! Love me some Ritchie Valens!!!! Rock on!!💪
Yeah I remember that movie 🍿 loved it 🎸 yeah definitely worth a mention 👍
Slide sounds sp good. Ive never tried it tho, you have inspired me to try it out!
Great ! Hope you enjoy it!
Who’d have thought adverts would be good for anything?!! Great story and lesson 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I know right! Thanks brother 👍🎸
Hell yeah man!! Awesome video!! I love the blues!!I’ve also fell in love with Bluegrass lately!! Would love to see some of your renditions of Billy Strings or Doc Watson tunes!!! Not many people on CZcams cover these!! Cheers mate! And hope you hv a great Xmas!
Yeah that’s because they’re hard ! You too bro 👍🎸
@@leejohnblackmoremusic they are hard!! That’s why I’m trying to talk you into learning it so I can just copy off of you!!!🤣
@DD-eight 🤣
I really liked it JLB, thanks for sharing! I would like to know what is your connection with Morocco? I know you’ve been there a few times, but it’s the curious George in me asking!
Many thanks for watching ;-) Well, it's a long story perhaps I'll do a video about it ;-) (In a nutshell I've got very close friends from Morocco)
Yes please do a video on that original of yours from the beginning. Even if it's just a video of you playing it, so I can see what your left hand is doing :)
No problem! 👍
How long did it take for you to pick up slide it's one of those things I struggle with there's a song called cat fish blues and it's awesome on slide
Like anything really you got to keep at it. If you have an old guitar that’s hard to play just tune it to open D and leave it as your slide guitar. Much easier to pick up and practice that way.
@@leejohnblackmoremusic I have got such a guitar it's been funny for awhile now and just won't tune perfect anymore so I could use that one and the easiest slide song to learn as a starting point or would you say just go with the good old cola riff as a start point concern that then move on also many people use next to last finger but I see you use little finger more I find that my metal slide is a bit clumsy on my next to last finger so may be switch finger and add paper or may it's like your brass slide just to big and go with buying a glass slide or bottle neck slide I could use tissue but it already feels a bar bell on finger as it is
Great story..tutorial, question, do you get paid if I were to let the ads play through instead of skipping them ?
Truth be told if I bought a slide I'd be playing looser....might be a chimp😅
I don’t get paid like that, it a complicated system based on percentages, click rate and performance. If there is copyright material in the video I pretty much end up with nothing anyway. I still work and except donations via PayPal to get paid. 👍🎸
Could you do Manchester orchestra I know how to speak?
I’ll have a listen for sure 👍
Love a lesson in that open D finger picking tune. Love your videos
Ok no problem 👍🎸
@@leejohnblackmoremusic Thanks I look forward to it.
Whats that guitar Lee?
which one ? the Taylor 814ce ?
