Promise solidified me in this fandom. I was going through something very tough and nothing gave me comfort anymore. But his last lines of "don't throw yourself away even on your worst days " made such a deep mark in my heart and that's why I love him
Lie , filter, serendipity, like crazy all show how versatile jimin actually is on his solo journey. He puts his heart into it and makes it his own and i love that for him.
People hate him a bit too much because he's honestly very talented and as a soloist when he's not hated on ,if you really really listen to his music when's he's heavily involved,its always a masterpiece of a song.
All jimin songs get nominated seperately for award shows in Korea. Alongside BTS nomination but i would eat up anything he puts out because i genuinely see his hardwork and things and creative input behind the stories he wanted to put out and i respect that about him q lot
It's not just that he sings high. It's that, no matter what he's singing (and it's true for his dancing, too), he wrings every drop of emotion out of the note (or move) and hands it over. The A5 note is not just powerful and high, but it's also wistful and desperate and there's something about Jimin's voice that conveys that. V is also great at conveying emotion but he does it differently than Jimin does. That's why I like when they're paired so much.
exactly, that's why I love BTS, a good example of how each member of the vocal line express their emotions is their performance of "The truth untold", they're all sooo good in their way and it blends so well 🥹💜
Since I've heard lie and got to know that jimin wrote the melody of blood sweat and tears, I've always admired his musical capabilities.
There's not one jimin solo song that ive not replayed a thousand times in my playlist. Its a different sort of drug . Especially if he's involved in production too its just a cheery on top .

@user-tz1bu9tu1p In BTS 2017 Festa, Jin mentioned that Jimin wrote part of the melody of Blood Sweat and Tears. He was not credited, though. I'm glad the members mention things like this or we would never know.

I think Lie was one of the biggest things that made me ARMY. I felt so drawn to his emotion it was like I couldn't breathe and his performance was so epic. it's still one of the coolest performances I think i've ever seen tbh. I feel like Lie and Set Me Free Pt 2 are sisters with some ON mixed in lol. I just adore Jimin so much. He is so uniquely Jimin and i am so glad I found him and bts to be able to experience the amazing art and entertainment they bring.

Meanwhile, you keep sinking deeper like with every move like it’s quicksand. This is the song that got me hooked on BTS and Jimin-biased. I don’t have musical knowledge of keys/chords, etc but I felt that swift change in my soul. I felt I recognized what he was singing about. While the sentiment can apply to a lie you told and/or a secret you’re keeping from people you care deeply about, I instinctively felt it’s about lying to yourself and how hard it is to stop.

when i first listen to lie i was so amaze i'm speechless. from the musicality, vocals, dance and ofc his iconic 'lie' performance. NO ONE CAN SING AND PERFORM THIS SONG ISTG CUZ ONLY JIMIN CAN GIVE JUSTICE. NO WONDER WHY NO ONE DARE TO SING & PERFORM THAT SONG, THERE'S ONE IN SURVIVAL SHOW BUT HE CAN'T SINCE HIS VOICE IS CRACKING PLUS HIS DANCE IS NOT GIVING FOR ME SO HE END UP RECEIVING HATES FOR COVERING THAT SONG. 6:55 A fun fact that I don't often see mentioned: the producer (and also a co-songwriter), for Jimin's, "Lie," was DOCSKIM, the same amazing pianist/producer/composer who produced RM's, "Wildflower."
DOCSKIM is also the keyboardist for Ghost band, BTS' in-house backing band - he's the one playing keys for RM's Tiny Desk concert .He's the person who credited RM for revitalizing his desire to make music during the making of, "Indigo," documentary.
He should have people begging to work with him; he's an incredible artist & a genius.

Yes, DOCSKIM is a genius. He remade Lie because it's his mother's favorite song, and he felt he could have made it better. So he kept Jimin's part, but improved the rest. You have to listen to it with headphones! So good💜💜💜

Lie just reached 30M on youtube, I think there's an older version somewhere (maybe in private) because it was released in 2018 and not 2016, but it deserves at least 50M so ARMY please if you have the time go stream it from time to time, it's important to not forget this masterpiece 💜(as well as other old BTS songs, don't forget them 😊)
