- Konnichiwa! I am a Japanese exchange student studying Biology in one of the prestigious university in Malaysia, which is Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) located in the state of Johore.
It has been a year here in Johor, Malaysia. I met a lot of Malaysian friends while experience different culture of Malaysia everyday. Studying in UTM is definitely a great opportunity to widen my horizon, while studying towards the path to become a great Biologist.
Here's a 1-day routine of me as a Japanese student in UTM. Hope everyone enjoy the video.

As a student studying at a small, private local "international" college in Melaka, seeing how vast UTM's space makes me feel kinda inferior. Hahahaha. No problems though, it's just I've never witnessed such a big space allocated solely for universities. Great video, I hope you enjoyed great things in Malaysia. Well made vlog (?), love the vibe and editing done to it.

UTM has complete infrastructure and affordable in-campus accommodation! Although it is not a hotel standard, but it's good enough. :)

Hi Ben! Thanks for tuning the video! Yes we do have Indian students (including Malaysian Indian race too!) So no prob in communication while all classes are held in English.

Hi! For me UTM and UPM are both good and expert in different fields while both of these universities are among the best research university we have in Malaysia. For my opinion, maybe UTM is more expert in engineering courses, so if your son has the intention to take engineering courses, maybe UTM can be a right choice! UTM hostels are okay as well while it is reasonable in price. You can consider to live in campus or out campus :) hope this helps!

Very nice . I studied in Malaysia more than 20 years ago , Nice place ,but very hot , I would love to do my PhD there but that country is too hot,humid and sweaty. Also the officials there are very corrupt.
I got to partially agree with you Prince High! But for UTM I think 'so far' are still quite independence from the politics. There are always pros and cons studying in a place. Weather wise I really hope sometimes Malaysia snows too :D

Hi bro! No prob it's going to be fun! I'm from biology as well and we have nice lecturers and get to have a lot of practical activities during the course too. It's not hard to score, just come and enjoy the process! I might do a video explaining on UTM so stay tune and subscribe!
Malaysian universities are more about Decoration than about Quality of Education and Academics. Everything in Malaysia is about Decorations and Advertisement .Most universities suck except a maybe UM and USM and maybe IIUM.
You're not Japanese, right ? You're a Japanese student. hehe. Cuz the way you pronounced certain things, and it shows when you said "nihon e" (in which you stressed the 'e') & when you said "cafe" instead of kohi~ in the introduction hehe. BTW, nice video !

Hi! Currently UTM only have MSc (Biotechnology). You can find the program list in UTM website science.utm.my/pg/master-of-science-biotechnology/

Hello, heard that utm is excessively conservative, is it true? Are boys and girls allowed to play(basketball etc) or talk with each other?
Hi, this is a rather personal preference according to different religion restriction we believe in. UTM and Malaysia have students with different races and religions. Most Muslims has stricter restrictions especially between boys and girls. Students with other races follow this culture especially regarding 'close relationship and behaviors'. However, we are definitely allowed to talk to each other and play sports as long as we respect each other's decency.
