I personally think that the exterior design of NIO is the most beautiful, simple, smooth and high-end brand among all Chinese auto brands. The ET5 Touring is really, really cool.

BYD's Atto3 has already arrived I suppose, Dolphin and Seal on the way. However don't keep high hopes on the pricing considering the tax🥲

The absurd prices in Europe are merely strategic, since the same models in China cost at least half the price. It's not fair for european costumer to pay such high prices for the exact same car.

If, the ET5 wagon is price competetive with Tesla model Y I for one will be really interested!
A Model Y P costs 686 000 SEK (59k €) compared to ET5 Touring with 75kWh that costs 706 000 SEK (60.7k €) in Sweden.
So comparable price.

In dialog with BYD about both the seagull and the seal. Not available yet. But soon. Like the concept of sodium batteries a lot!

Yes I know is normal as close to the north pole the longer days or nights are in summer or winter, but Man for someone like me who has lived in Extreme Heat South Texas all my life, is interesting, the longest day of the year will be just in few days in June 21 and usually here the longest day starts around 6AM and ends around 9PM but Man.. it will be a nasty horrible day, we have a heat wave everyday 42 to 44 Celsius with a lot of humidity for the last 2 weeks, nasty nasty weather, by the way I live about 70 Miles (112 km) from Space X Starbase Boca Chica, I watched your video because I LOVE THE ET5 Touring, Im a Tesla fan boy and own a Model 3, I would sell my Tesla to buy that wagon if it was for sale in the U.S. unfortunately I doubt NIO, XPENG or BYD will ever enter the American market.....
Yes, the Nordics has its special sun path. Midnight now and still not pitch black and never gets at this period of the year. "Dawn" is sround 3:30. During winter it's the opposite way, dark all the time. Just a couple of hours of light around 10am to 14pm.

@@ItsOnlyElectric yes very hot, last week I installed 3M Ceramic window tint to all windows, sunroof and front windshield and also installed the Jowua roof shades, even like that, yesterday inside the car the temperature was 67 Celsius!! I had to use the cabin overheat protection, which I didn't want to use trying to avoid using energy while park, as Im concern that interior plastics or the touchscreen electronics can get damaged, honestly Im starting to HATE the glass roof, maybe for all Canada, North of USA and Europe is a good idea to have a glass roof, Areas that are really hot and sunny in summer is a nightmare
actually I think the new Model 3 will no longer have a glass roof, I will sell mine to get a new one with a "normal" roof
I get your point. Here in Sweden uöits great with glass roof. The only down side is in really cold weather like -20C. Then you feel the cold calling down on your head while driving.

Pricing the Nios over its european competitors is very bold, but a main reason for the low sales numbers.
The strategy is all inclusive prices with all the bells abs whistles from start. Maybe will change with some features locked with software in the future as in china.
If you compare the et5 touring to a bmw m50 that is slower and has less space and specs, the nio is still about 20 000€ less expensive

You can get coffee and yoga at the Nio house, but your car serviced? Ahh, no. Sorry, not for me. I think the low sales numbers will force Nio to pull out of the Danish marked. In the first 5 months of 2023 17 Nios have been registred. 17! Teslas? 7586...

Do you when will Nio arriving in USA?
I can assure you never.. this time US Government learned the lesson from the 80's Japanese invasion with Honda and Toyota, for that reason the Inflation reduction act, gives BIG incentives for electric cars build in the USA or in North America, I just purchased a model 3 for that reason, it won't be wise for the Chinese to enter the US market, unless they offer the cars at a very low price that can compete with all others even with the $7,500 tax credit
Probably 2025. Us headquarters has opened and they have hired people for it, if I get the information right.

Not any specific date yet. But probably October.

Yes, I'll tested both ET7 and ET5. Works good during winter. Haven't done s long term test though. Consumption drops of course, but that goes for all EVs.

Yes, a bit small but alot better then the sedan.
Yeah I was a little disappointed to hear, my Leon ST has over 600, should have made it over 500 that would feel a bit more competitive.
All their promos show a luggage pod on the roof so they must have taken the presence of a pod into account in terms of their drag co-efficiency. Also I believe the second row seats collapse on an individual 40/20/40 split so that extends cargo space.
They present it because they have an option for useful rails. And considering the fact that the price is the same as the regular et5 I think it is very competitive. There is also the option of a tow hitch that can tow up to 1400 kilos. It's really quite affordable. Considering that there is also more headroom and the seats are lower (the high seats bothered a lot of people) for the same price it seems to me like a simple increase in the competitiveness of the et5 which was already a game changer anyway.
I think NIO should not be compared to Tesla, instead compare it to Polestar (2, 3).
P2 is smaller. P3 maybe with EL6, but definitely also Model Y I think. I guess you are referring to things more like interior quality etc?
